A must-visit place in Manipal for anyone interested in its history and development. The house of Dr. T.M.A Pai( Dr. Tonse Madhava Anant Pai ), the visionary who played a key role in Manipal's transformation, has been converted into a museum near Kasturba Medical College. It's inspiring to see the personal items he used—his bed, chair, mirror, cupboard, and more—preserved so well. Most items are for viewing only (photography is allowed, but video recording is not). The museum is quiet, respectful, and free to enter. The museum will be closed on Sundays. They even offer a small book and brochure about Dr. Pai’s life and contributions. His work for society is truly immense and commendable. A great man whose legacy continues to inspire!

They have kept whole history of DR T.M.A Pai in the form of photos, wordings, quotes etc. They have kept the bed, chair, mirror, cupboard etc they used. Their work to the society is very very big. Smrithi Bhawan is located near Tiger Circle in Manipal. It is located adjacent to Madhuban Serai hotel. It is now regarded as Dr. T. M. A. Pai Museum. It was actually the residence of Dr. Pai. The entry time to the museum is from 9 A.M to 1 P.M & then from 2:30 PM to 6 PM. The entry is free of cost. The history of life & work of Dr. Pai is beautifully descripted here. The medical instruments which Dr. Pai used to use are also shown here. It is a must visit...
