We had a trip to Manipal Museum of Anatomy and Pathology this year. It was really educative. It helped me a lot to understand the topics which I learnt in the theory classes. The anatomy section was good. It had a good collection of specimens of different species of reptiles, amphibians, birds and even mammals. Actually, you will get a surprise at the entrance itself. Pathology section was also good. They have covered each and every disease associated with important organs of the body. You can see the information boards near that specimen explaining the cause for the diseases in simple terms. I liked the developmental biology section. It has a great collection of specimens explaining each and every stage of the development of the foetus. In addition to that, it also had the specimens ( I mean foetus) with anomalies like misplacement of organs and Siamese twins. Over all, it was a great experience. And it is not allowed to take photographs inside the museum. But you can store those memories in your biological SD cards (I mean brain). So my advice is just to be attentive and read the explanations and note down the points to make your educational trip successful. By the way, the first section is anatomy, the second section is pathology and third is developmental biology. You will be having information boards only in the pathology section. For the rest of the things, you can just note down the name of the specimen and later you can google it. Don't take the luggage and all. Just take a notepad and a pen. I would suggest you not to take the smartphones. Because it will be distracting and you might feel like taking photographs of the specimens which is not allowed. There will be having some entry fee so just take some money with you. Thank you....
