SAI Trivandrum Golf Club — Attraction in Kerala

It was really pleasing to my mind to be back at Trivandrum,my birth place after a period of 2 years in Dubai. Switching from badminton to Golf while in Dubai for a reason was really caught me into an addiction, practicing twice a day aiming to be a technically correct golfer. Being a golfer I don't wish to leave the game even if retires from Dubai, that lead to the decision taking a life membership @SAI golf club Trivandrum. Though this was not the right time to visit the club ever after getting the membership, skipped the hospital duty at Ananthapuri where my mother admitted for a left sided stroke, a few hours of pressure release was a necessity for the body and mind.

The advantage of being a member at Sai golf primarily is a life member ship by spending around 4 lakhs INR and affiliation all over India. When you compare Dubai JA resort golf & SAI ,my rating and likes goes to JA Resort bcz it's high standards. Yet to play at SAI as heavy rain continues in Trivandrum.

Check the few points I mentioned as the take away and decide to become a member at SAI. There is no other option if you live in Trivandrum, the one and only destination for Trivandrum golfers.

Still under renovation, by first look it seems that ,the course needs lots of improvement like a full fledged driving range and mowing of grass to make this as a playable golf course. The fairway grass is not the one I came across in golf courses in UAE. Bentgrass is one of the most popular types of grass planted on golf courses. It's available in many varieties, commonly found in cool summer and coastal regions. It's short, even, and flat, making it the perfect match for putting greens and courses. I recently had the pleasure of organising the Onam celebration at the Sai Trivandrum Golf Club, for the community of Brio League Centre for Holistic Nutrition. It was a perfect blend of tradition and wellness, with the scenic backdrop of the lush golf course adding a serene touch to the festivities.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the Sadya catered by White Damor. It was a grand feast that perfectly captured the essence of Onam. Every dish was authentic, flavorful, and prepared with fresh ingredients. The variety on the banana leaf—from the delicious sambar, rasam, and avial to the sweet ending with payasam—was a true treat for the senses. What stood out was the balance of traditional flavors with a healthy twist, which resonated with the Brio League’s ethos of holistic nutrition.

The attention to detail by White Damor was impeccable. Not only did they ensure the Sadya followed traditional customs, but the portion sizes and the quality of the food also reflected a focus on health and wellness. It was comforting to know that one could indulge in a festive meal without compromising on nutrition.

Sai Trivandrum Golf Club offered the perfect venue for the celebration. Its sprawling greens, peaceful ambiance, and well-maintained facilities made the event even more enjoyable. The team at Brio League did an excellent job in organizing the event, seamlessly blending cultural celebration with their mission of promoting holistic health.

Overall, the event was a wonderful experience, and the Sadya by White Damor was an unforgettable highlight. I look forward to more such celebrations where tradition meets wellness in a beautiful setting like Sai...

This is a historic Golf Course, which is said to be one of the oldest in the World, having been set up in the second half of the 19th century. The then Maharaja of the Princely State of Travancore was instrumental in developing this cute Course. Though rather small, this 9 - Hole Course, set out in 25 acres of undulating terrain, is considered by Golfers to be a very challenging course. Earlier the Golf Course was managed by a Committee comprising of Senior Bureaucrats and Corporate Leaders. The State Government raised questions about the credentials of the Committee to own and manage the Course and took over management control. Later, the Course was leased out to the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and since then it has been developed as a Golf Training Centre for promising youngsters. Private individuals and Corporate Members are also permitted to play on this Course.
