Located in the heart of Trivandrum, this esteemed bakery is managed by M/s Azad Resturant team , a family-run enterprise with a rich legacy of providing exceptional non-vegetarian restaurant services in Trivandrum, Kerala, and Nagarcovil, Tamil Nadu. With a history dating back to 1948-49, the current managerial team represents the third or fourth generation of this illustrious family.

About a decade ago, Azad's ventured into bakery services and now operate two or three outlets within Trivandrum city. Their Bread Factory in Kawdiar boasts a state-of-the-art bakery unit and a snack bar. In my opinion, Azad's is one of the top bakeries in Trivandrum.

The bakery offers an extensive range of products, including traditional Kerala snacks, chocolates, sweets, and select Kerala delicacies like idiappam, porotta, kappa, and fish curry. Both Travancore and Malabar specialties are available, ensuring a delightful culinary experience. Prices are clearly displayed, making it easy for customers to make their selections.

To avoid disappointment, I recommend visiting the bakery between 10 am and 5:30 pm, as popular items often sell out by 6-7 pm. The bakery has a convenient parking lot that can accommodate 5-6 cars and about 10 two-wheelers.

While Azad's excels in many areas, I suggest that the management focus on training their staff to improve customer relations. A warm smile from the staff can go a long way in enhancing the overall experience.

Very neat and clean, which is not quite a normal thing in kerala. But azad bakery is always very well maintained, been coming here off and on for about 5 years now.

Their absolute best in my opinion is the black pepper banana chips, followed by ripe banana chips. Their black pepper banana chips is hands down the best available in Trivandrum, if not the very best in kerala itself. People say calicut ships is the best, but those are the ones who haven't had black pepper chips from Azad. Something really special about their chips, each one has a bubble, maybe some calibrated pressure frying in a machine. If not for anything else, their chips are definitely worth trying. Chips are regularly replenished as they sell of quickly, they come in packs of 200/250 grams.

They also have a ton of other products, inhouse bakery products, pastries, veg & non veg savories, a variety of potato, tapioca chips.

A wide range of imported chocolates, biscuits, sauces, olive oils, dressings amongst other things.

My friend loves their banana cake, although I'm not a fan of it, I'm told it's made well.

They cater to party orders if made in advance, prices are quite reasonable and definitely in line with the quality of the products and services offered.

I placed a very large assorted cookie order for my birthday, and I can honestly say, the cookies were the BEST cookies I have ever had in my life. I made up cookie trays for the members of my family as part of their birthday treat. Thank you guys for making me so proud to give your cookies! I included the tag off the box in everyone’s tray, so that they, too, would know just where I got these amazing cookies. I can’t tell you how much we all enjoyed them.
