I have heard great stories about this place. But you can't even find any skeleton as proof right now. Elders say the place was a transport hub when water transport was the preferred choice. During shopping festival, they light up this area in respect of its past glory. To the uninitiated; the whole thing is a very narrow canal leading up to a pond. Very long ago more than 50 years back the pond was used for trading and business activities through the water ways connected to the pond. Agrl.produces and commodities were transported to Cochin by using the water ways connected through different small rivers and backwaters. Kettuvallam the boat driven by man power was used for this.

There is a small cafeteria by the entrance and then a small walking area that form the boundary of this park. A few equipments for exercise, pull up bar.
The corporation has done a decent job, but the issue, the real issue is the absolute unbearable smell due to the stagnant water in the canal system just outside/behind the park. The smell is so obnoxious that I never went there after the first time.
