Tabak Udyan — Attraction in Maharashtra

Tabak Udyan is a Botanical garden under the maintenance of forest department jurisdiction. Entry to the garden is from Wagh Darwaja Fort. Entry fee is Rs.5 This is very beautiful palace those who like nature,birds,hillocks and valley. You can come along with your friends, family and kids. It has a thick green cover with variety of trees. Different kind of birds are chirping always in the garden. Monkeys are also appearing sometimes in the trees. Information boards are displayed in the garden , which birds and monkey are found in the Udyan. This garden gives you a forest feel. You can spend your time in the lap of the nature with fresh air and cool breeze. The walking way inside the garden is paved and lots of steps are there. A good play zone for kids has been arranged and nearby kids play area a small Orchid garden is situated. A hillock is adjacent to the garden is an another attraction. Actually this is a silent and pollution free place,but nowadays this place become crowdy and noisy. End point of the garden , an awesome view of the valley and a horizontal view of some villages. Tip of the garden 2-3 forest guest houses are there. People can spend minimum 2 hours in the garden. Most of the visitors recommending the best season to visit this place is during the monsoon, but I suggest summer is also a nice time to visit this place.

NB- Plz dont put plastic bags and garbage around the garden. Use dustbin.

If you visit Panhala fort and you skip this place then your visit is worthless... A small beautifully developed nature park on the top of Panhala is a real refreshing experience for your mind... Even after this year’s heavy rainfall this garden is so neatly maintained with wide variety of flora n fauna. There is a forest guest house available to tourist as well with proper prior permission from forest department. There is a a very nominal fee of ₹10/- to a tourist. A person who sits their entire day and doing his duty , I really salute to him for his determination of job as many a times there is no tourist for almost 2/3 hours and he sits there on that fort all alone. Nestled on the Panhala fort , just crossing the Wagh Darwaza is the best maintained gardens in Kolhapur district. At the very entrance you will find miniature replica of Panhala fort. If you are a bird watcher it is the right place. The Entire garden is dotted with information on the birds which can be seen in the Garden. There is a also a small playground for Children. Visit at any time. Time to spent - 1-2 hrs.It is situated within the Panhala Fort complex.It is very popular due to large collection of varieties of flora and fauna. It's a good very good place to visit and spend ur whole day with family 👪 and friends 😃 😄. The entrance 🚪 appears very old as having stony stairs to reach Wagh 🐯 darwaja 🚪 (वाघ दरवाजा). It's a very tidy area 🅿 from where you are directed towards the main Tabak Udyaan which is exactly located below the darwaja. You have to pay entrance fees of Rs 5 per person above 12 years and Rs 2 for those below 12 years. The garden is awasome and is well maintained with lots of greeneries around with plenty of sitting areas and places to hang out. It also have a small Panhala fort constructed near the entrance showing all the major landmarks to visit.
