KLAY Powai - Preschools and Daycare — Attraction in Mumbai

We started looking for a daycare facility for our son when he was 9 months old. Since I planned to resume work when my baby turned 1, we wanted to start 3 months in advance, to ensure he gets enough time to settle in. We surveyed a few schools in the neighborhood. Our search ended when we saw the KLAY Playschool and Daycare facility at Powai.

The initial impression itself was very promising. The school is located in a safe and clean premises, amidst offices. The multiple layers of security at the main gate and the building were very reassuring. The interiors of the daycare facility were both inviting and comforting. There is a clear segregation of classrooms into infants, junior toddlers, and senior toddlers. We saw the junior toddlers’ room where the cute little children were performing activities independently, under the supervision and guidance of teachers and didi’s. The infant room was a sweet little cocoon where 6 babies were sleeping ..It was their nap time :) We took admission the very next day. Our baby is 17 months old now. KLAY has now become an integral part of our lives. So much so that even on weekends, we follow the same daily routine that is followed at KLAY. The school has instilled discipline, a desire that every parent has. The children sleep on time, have their meals on time, and explore their surroundings independently.

There has been a visible change in the personality of our baby ever since he joined KLAY. He was otherwise shy around strangers and other babies his age. He would cling either to me or his father all the time. Going to KLAY and interacting regularly with other children his age has helped him open up. He now hardly has any stranger anxiety. The activities at KLAY help children explore their interests. At the recent parent-teacher meet, we were pleasantly surprised to hear that our baby enjoys painting. We were delighted to see the art and craft work that he has created at KLAY, over the last few months.

The staff at KLAY is very warm and affectionate. Their passion for the work they do shows in every aspect of their conduct. The Centre Director Nidhi does a splendid job of running the centre. She is the first one to receive our baby at 8.30 am, every day. Inspite of having 60+ kids at the facility, Nidhi is a hands-on administrator who knows the smallest details about every single child. Disha, the admin manager for the Powai centre, is very prompt with any information or help we need. She was extremely supportive and reassuring all through our baby's settling-in phase. Vidya teacher, Hetal teacher, Saba teacher, Rajni didi take such good care of our little one. Just the mention of their names brings a big smile to my son’s face :) . We constantly ask them for tips to handle him at home. Watching them taking care of babies on CCTV footage is like watching super-heroes in action. Even during tough times like the current lock-down, KLAY has proactively come up with curated web sessions, to ensure continued handholding.

As a parent, I entrust my greatest blessing to the staff at Klay School and Daycare every day. The Teachers and Didi's working here are very caring, professional and dedicated. They have done a wonderful job making Klay an inviting and successful daycare center. As parents, we all wish that we would not need the services of a day care for our children but the reality is that many of us do and are faced with the important decision of finding a facility that will provide the love and care that they deserve, and gives us parents the peace of mind knowing that while we are away from them that they are being loved, that they are safe and secure and are learning to interact with other children. I feel that my daughter has been blessed with awesome teachers( Especially Ms. Nidhi and Ms. Disha, Ms. Namita) and I thank you so much for your responsiveness, attention to detail and support. I cannot imagine how I could have coped without knowing that my daughter is able to go to a safe, fun place every day. What she has learned at Klay, as well as the warmth and respect that she has been shown, has enabled her to be outgoing, independent and respectful of others.

Daily reports are sent out over a phone app making it easy to check in on the kids each day. Healthy breakfasts and catered (healthy) lunches are provided each day, along with snacks in between. A scheduled nap time is there for the kids.

Klay Prima bey Powai Feedback from a parent side As I was observing past yesterday and today,,, I got the camera access, you'll do a brilliant job👏👏 the class teacher of K1 I haven't really met her, but shes outstanding the way she handles my child with Love and care is commendable, we watched her thoroughly whenever she performes activities with the kids, I really wanted to thank you aswell, you were very very much supportive and always welcomed us with a smile 😊 which also sparkled ✨our interest and earesed our worries each day for our child, as Zidan was really not liking to come to school and was unsettled, but here, I can see the way he's enjoying to come to school each day..I was really not very concerned with the curriculum part but then, now he has started counting numbers singing rhymes, he's able to atleast try and speak in english which was really impossible as everyone here at my place they use Hindi as mother tongue language and I wasn't able to spend that much time with him, so that I can communicate in English with him.. but hence he has started to use some words and make sentences,, thanks alottttttttt 💞.... thanks alott to the didis and all the teachers🥰 eventually putting our trust in♥️ Klay ♥️ was a fabulous option ♥️ Kindly convey my message to the class tchrr...
