It's a quiet place, with 3 buildings including accomodation quater inside the premises of embassy with it's own space and parking lot.
I had the privilege of visiting the Embassy of Nepal today, and it was an incredible experience getting invitation from such notable place and events. I was fortunate to witness a momentous occasion - the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Indra Gandhi Women's College in Delhi and IOE Engineering College in Kathmandu.
The embassy is a beautiful and welcoming place that exudes a sense of cultural richness and diplomatic importance. The event I attended was not only educational but also culturally enriching, highlighting the strong ties between India and Nepal in the field of education.
During my visit, I had the opportunity to attend a talk by AWS Amazon, which added a modern touch to the traditional setting of the embassy. It showcased the global relevance of technology and innovation.
The staff at the embassy were exceptionally hospitable and accommodating, making me feel like a valued guest. The event was well-organized, and the hospitality extended to all attendees was commendable.
If you ever have the chance to visit the Embassy of Nepal and participate in one of their events, I highly recommend it. It's an enriching experience that offers a unique glimpse into the rich cultural and educational ties between India and Nepal.

Read moreI recently visited the Nepal Embassy and had a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I went there to inquire about surname change after marriage — a process that is clearly addressed under Section 81 of the National Civil Code, 2074.
Shockingly, the staff at the embassy had no proper knowledge of the updated law. Even worse, they were rude and unprofessional in their behavior — they don’t even talk properly with their own Nepali people.
What’s more concerning is that when I presented a legally issued marriage certificate from the ward office, they refused to accept it and said they would only accept a citizenship certificate with the updated surname. This is completely unacceptable and legally incorrect. A ward-issued marriage certificate is a valid government document and should be accepted as proof of marital status.
Instead of helping citizens, the staff act like gatekeepers with outdated information and a bad attitude. This is not just poor service — it’s a failure of duty.
👉 I request the Nepal Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take immediate legal and disciplinary action against such embassy staff. They must be trained on updated laws, treat Nepali citizens with respect, and stop misleading people who come to them for help.
Embassies are meant to support and represent us — not to humiliate us or deny...
Read moreVisited for the first time on 12 July'17. Some docs needed Embassy to attest, but was rejected because the certs were attested by Notary Public Council in Nepal. As per the Embassy, it should be chop and sign by Ministry of Foreign affairs?! I had checked with the lawyers working in Notary, and was told their certification is accepted worldwide being authorized by the Nepal government. It has been very disappointing and frustrating knowing we have councils recognized and authorized by Nepal Government but then not by Nepal Embassy!!?? There should be clear instructions and guidelines from Nepal Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to avoid so many hassles to the people in need of the service. To mention, no reply on e-mail sent to embassy!!!?? ☹️🤔 4 stars given only for the good service of kind and helpful staff. Please share your similar experiences and...
