The Shish Gumbad monument is a stunning architectural wonder located in the heart of South Delhi. It is a true testament to the incredible craftsmanship of the period and its namesake, the blue-tiled dome, is an impressive sight.

The monument is located in a beautiful setting within the premises of Madrasa Khairul Manazil, a religious school that has been in operation for over 150 years. Shish Gumbad is a part of the school's complex and is one of the few remaining structures from that era. The monument is located in a peaceful and serene setting and is surrounded by well-manicured lawns and gardens.

The stunning blue-tiled dome of Shish Gumbad is a true masterpiece of Mughal architecture. The delicate floral designs and skilled calligraphy on the tiles create a stunning contrast against the red sandstone of the structure. The dome is supported by a square base, which is also decorated with intricate patterns and designs. The Shish Gumbad dome is a true showpiece of Mughal architecture, and is a must-see for anyone visiting Agra.

The stunning interiors of Shish Gumbad are just as impressive as the exterior. The walls are adorned with stunning calligraphy and floral patterns, which are a testament to the artistic and architectural brilliance of the Mughal period. The monument is relatively small in size, but its intricate details and impressive design make it an impressive sight to behold.

The monument is a beautiful and easily accessible place to visit, with plenty of space inside to appreciate its artistry and architecture from the period. It's a must-see for anyone interested in Indian history and architecture, and is sure to leave visitors in awe of its beauty and sophistication.

Overall, Shish Gumbad is a beautiful monument that showcases the incredible craftsmanship of the Mughal period. The blue-tiled dome and intricate designs are a must-see for anyone interested in Indian history and architecture, and whether you're a local or tourist, Shish Gumbad is...

Situated in lodhi garden , Experience the mixed architecture of lodhi vansh and after mughal, tomb from the lodhi dynastyThe Shish Gumbad (glass dome) houses graves, whose occupants are not unequivocally identifiable. Historians have suggested, the structure might have been dedicated either to an unknown family, which was part of lodhi family and Sikandar lodhi's court or to bahul lodhi himself who was the chief of afghan lodhi tribe founder of and sultan of the lodhi dynasty of the Delhi sultanate Initially all the monuments were built independently and were not one confine In early 20th century a park was developed which was inaugurated by lady Willingdon on 9 Apr 1936 bringing the four monument in one confine The Shish Gumbad is located in and is a part of the Lodhi Gardens in Delhi India. The village, where the monument stands was earlier called Khairpur. The garden is bounded by Amrita shergil marg  in the West, North-West and North, Max MuellerMarg on the East and lodhi road on the South Side. Safdarjang Tomb is situated on South-West corner of the...

The Shish Gumbad is a tomb built during the time of the Lodi dynasty of the Delhi Sultanates. The building is a highly symmetric square shaped structure topped with a islamic dome. The building is an early example of fusing of regional style of North India with the newly arrived Islamic style of the Lodi conquerers to form Indo-Islamic style. The exterior of the building is highly influenced by the style of architecture of Hindu temples such as columns, capitals, brackets and lintel beams. While the interior is unmistakably islamic with niches, floral patterns and Arabic inscriptions. Also inside are tombs of unknown persons.

The building is located inside Lodi Gardens and looks very pretty thanks in part to the well tended gardens, lush location and that it stands on a low hill. So pretty that it’s a popular location for photos for locals and wedding couples alike.

Worth visiting along with all the order architectural ensemble of Lodi monuments in...
