Poor Hospitality and Standards ” I recently stayed at Bequest Stays in Puri, and while the property is clean and well-maintained, my overall experience was disappointing due to several issues: Lack of Basic Facilities – There are no hotel-like facilities or room service. Simple requests like tea, coffee, or snacks were not available, which was quite inconvenient. Location Concern – The property is not as close to the sea beach as one might expect. It’s definitely not at a “stone’s throw” distance. Poor Ventilation – The rooms are not airy, and our particular room had no windows at all, which made it feel suffocating. The first-floor rooms also lack windows, and the ground floor is best avoided due to mosquitoes. Unprofessional Owner – The owner was extremely unhelpful and often hung up conversations midway. His behavior was rude, ill-mannered, and lacking basic hospitality etiquette. Additionally, only one contact number is provided, which makes communication frustrating. Unanswered Queries – Before arriving, I enquired about a few things but did not receive proper responses, which set the tone for an unpleasant stay. Overpriced – Considering the limited amenities and poor hospitality, the stay felt expensive compared to the price charged. Verdict: Bequest Stays may appear neat and clean, but hospitality is not just about cleanliness—it’s about service, comfort, and courtesy, all of which were missing here. The owner especially needs to work on communication and basic manners if they want to run a hospitality business. For the price, there are definitely better options...

On July 15th, during the Ulta Rath Yatra, we were stopped by police and couldn't enter Puri. This crucial information was never communicated by the hotel, despite our repeated inquiries about parking. When we called the hotel, they informed us that cars weren't allowed into Puri, and our booking was canceled due to non-payment. This was absurd since no prepayment requirement was communicated, and it was stated that only cash was accepted upon arrival.
Be cautious when booking this place; they failed to provide essential information and canceled our reservation without...
