I recently visited the ISKCON Temple in Sector 12, Panchkula, and it was quite a mixed experience for me. On one hand, the temple is truly a peaceful and spiritual place, but on the other hand, there are certain aspects which could be improved. Here’s my honest review 👇
The ambiance of the temple is absolutely beautiful 🙏✨. As soon as you enter, you feel a wave of calmness and positivity. The chants of “Hare Krishna” being played in the background, the idols decorated so wonderfully, and the overall cleanliness of the temple give you a divine feeling. The architecture is simple yet elegant, and the interiors are maintained in a neat and organized way. Sitting inside the temple for even a few minutes fills the mind with peace 🕉️🌸.
The spiritual programs they organize, like kirtans and pravachans, are also engaging and enlightening 📖🎶. Listening to the devotees sing with full energy creates an uplifting atmosphere. You can feel the devotion in the air, and it truly connects you with the teachings of Lord Krishna.
However, one thing that I personally felt was a bit uncomfortable is the excessive focus on donations 💰. Almost at every corner, you will find someone asking you to contribute, whether it’s for books, food distribution, or other causes. While I completely understand that temples and organizations like ISKCON run on donations and need funds to support their activities, the way it is asked repeatedly can feel a bit too much. Instead of feeling voluntary, it sometimes feels like pressure is being put on visitors. Many people who come to the temple want to pray peacefully and not constantly be approached for money 🙇♂️.
Another point is that the canteen and prasadam distribution are good but slightly overpriced for what you get 🍲😶. The food is sattvic and tasty, but again, you feel that commercial touch where more focus is on business than just devotion.
Overall, I would say the ISKCON Temple in Panchkula is worth visiting if you are looking for peace, spirituality, and devotion 🌿🙏. The vibes inside the temple are pure and divine, and the experience of darshan is fulfilling. But if you’re someone who doesn’t like being asked for donations again and again, this may affect your overall experience.
In short: ✔️ Peaceful environment ✔️ Beautiful idols and kirtans ✔️ Positive energy ❌ Too much donation focus ❌ Slightly commercial feeling
So my rating would be 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️. A good place for connecting with spirituality, but with room for improvement in terms of visitor experience.
