Salem samayapuram mariamman temple — Attraction in Tamil Nadu

I visited the temple yesterday but never seen such a crowd. I was waiting in a que till morning 7am to afternoon 2.30pm. Once i reached the temple, come to know that they actually made us wait. I have been living 35 years and am quite nearby the city, but I have never heard of the word about the temple, and then how come to know about the temple to other districts, only the answer is Social media, like YouTube, Facebook, Shorts. Because of wife insistion, only visited the temple through the videos of Instagram reels. They are charging around 500 to get kumba padayal and cradle. But there is no proper maintenance to control the crowd and no sanitation facilities. In the temple, workers are locals. In english, we have a proverb " face is the index of the mind" and definitely can not see any single face from the temple management. Went to this place yesterday. No proper temple management and maintenance. Scamming people in the name of god. Stood in line for 9 hrs but actual thing is they are making us to wait intentionally. They have only 10 goddess idol so only 10 couple will be allowed(new procedure to scam money) We have to carry that idol and handover then they will start next batch. Which will take 30 min so ideally for 30 min the line wont move.We spent nearly 500 for the idol and cradle. Kombapadaiyal food was served in bare hands. Unhygienic environment and the water made me sick. சேலம் சாமிநாதபுரத்தில் உள்ள சமயபுரம் மாரியம்மன் கோவிலில் கும்ப படையல் நிகழ்ச்சி நடந்தது. இதில் குழந்தை வரம் வேண்டி ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் குவிந்தனர்.

கும்ப படையல்

சேலம் சாமிநாதபுரம் வண்டிப்பேட்டை பகுதியில் ஸ்ரீ சமயபுரம் மாரியம்மன் கோவில் உள்ளது. இந்த கோவிலில் அமாவாசை நாளில் கும்ப படையல் சாதத்தை வாங்கி உண்டால் குழந்தை பாக்கியம் கிடைக்கும் என்பது ஐதீகம். மேலும் நோய் நொடிகள் தீரும் என்பது பக்தர்களின் நம்பிக்கை.

இந்த நிலையில் நேற்று கார்த்திகை மாத அமாவாசையையொட்டி அம்மனுக்கு சிறப்பு பூஜைகள் நடைபெற்றன. சமயபுரம் மாரியம்மன் சிறப்பு அலங்காரத்தில் பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலித்தார்.

பிரசாதம்

தொடர்ந்து அமாவாசையையொட்டி கும்ப படையல் நிகழ்ச்சி நடந்தது. அதாவது அம்மனுக்கு காய்கறிகள், சிறுதானியங்கள், கீரை வகைகளை சமைத்து, சாதத்துடன் கலந்து அம்மனுக்கு படைக்கப்பட்டது. தொடர்ந்து இந்த கும்ப படையலை வைத்து பூஜைகள் செய்யப்பட்டன.

கும்ப படையலை வாங்க ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் குவிந்தனர். அவர்கள் நீண்ட வரிசையில் காத்திருந்து அம்மனை தரிசனம் செய்தனர். மேலும் அவர்கள் அம்மனுக்கு பூஜை செய்யப்பட்ட கும்ப படையல் சாதத்தை பிரசாதமாக வாங்கி உண்டனர். இதனிடையே பக்தர்களின் கூட்டம் அதிகமானது. இதனால் கூடுதலாக 300 கிலோவுக்கு உணவு சமைத்து, பக்தர்களுக்கு பிரசாதமாக வழங்கப்பட்டது.

தொட்டில்

மேலும் நீண்ட வரிசையில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் காத்திருந்து குழந்தை வரம் வேண்டி கோவிலில் தொட்டில் பொம்மை கட்டினர். திருமண வரம் வேண்டி ஒரு ரூபாய் நாணயத்தை மஞ்சள் துணியில் வைத்து முடித்து, அதனை கோவிலில் உள்ள அம்மன் சூலாயுதத்தில் கட்டி பக்தர்கள் வேண்டிக்கொண்டனர்.
