TN27 Restobar — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

My recent visit to this restaurant-bar in Salem presented challenges in terms of safety, service quality, and overall experience. An entry fee of INR 1300, reimbursable through food and drink orders, was charged. The food, including the "Kerala Style Mutton Pepper Fry" and "Chicken 65," was below expectations, earning a rating of 2/5. Cocktails also fell short of quality, and certain displays within the establishment felt inappropriate. While the property management retains discretion over such choices, these aspects impacted the experience.

For my personal safety upon leaving, I contacted the Tamil Nadu Police, who quickly assisted in resolving a verbal conflict with the management. Grateful to the Police department for the quick action. Given the inconsistencies in service and overall experience, expecting the same level of hospitality as one would find in other star hotels in Salem may not be realistic. Well where to start the worst experience. Starting with the entry even if regular must pay entry? Even when there are only 3 people in the club??? Next it's all about taking your money no manager nor direct response. Useless only money minded. In terms of going as a couple please avoid the wash room as they only have one for both male n female, first time witnessing in any club.

Zero customer service even when asked to parcel extra food said no option??? Wonder how this could be rated. Music is a mix of local tamil and hindi. Now I realise why there is no crowd guess they don't want anyone coming with their attitude. Please avoid it at all means unless they change their attitude. Worst...

Sat in "uptown" and it was the most horrible hour or so. Overpriced drinks, an extremely hyped up bouncer, an awful DJ with no real knowledge about music or sound - we had to step out a few times so we don't go deaf. Staffs thinks they work at a 7 star pub, with no customer service skills and I had to repeat Jägermeister at least 6 times before he understood what it is! Train your staff on what you have on your menu for a change? Overall I'd avoid this place if you're just after a DJ. The 'downtown' looked calm so might give that a go sometime.
