Yelagiri Herbal Garden — Attraction in Tamil Nadu

We visited the Yelagiri Herbal Garden in the evening of the 27th of December 2019. It is a private property. There were a large number of medicinal plants, which were well maintained. They had some medicinal plants for sale, too. I hope they are able to keep more medicinal plants for sale at reasonable prices to benefit more people. In addition, they have many ornamental plants. They have a good terracotta collection, too. They also have a good collection of spices and herbal oils. The prices of the herbal oils were a bit high. This herbal garden in Yelagiri in Thiruppatur district in Tamilnadu has come up recently. It is a definite place to go.

If you’re a plant lover, especially interested in medicinal plants or botany, this is the place for you. The variety of medicinal plants, along with informative descriptions, is truly worth seeing in person. However, the maintenance could be improved. They also sell some of the plants at the entrance, and I bought a few medicinal plants along with the soil. Unfortunately, they didn’t survive in the hotter climate of my home, so I would suggest avoiding buying them unless you’re sure they will thrive in your environment. This place is just WOW! Must watch for travellers. Entry is before the yelagiri boating spot. Different collections of ayurvedic plants. Rare collection to be found elsewhere in city. Bought few of them. Entry fees is 50/- They allow kids for free. Refreshing lemon tea is given as a complementary. Fish spa charges a 50/-. Rather you can have fish spa at fundera park. Around 30 - 45 minutes of well good spend time to cherish. A must recommendation...
