Shahji Temple, Vrindavan (Shahji Temple, Vrindavan ) Nij Dham is the center of attraction in Vrindavan and has its own religious identity popularly known as Tedhe Khambe Wala Mandir (Crooked Pillar Temple). This temple is located near Nidhivan Temple (Nidhivan Temple).

This temple is also known as Chote Radha Raman Mandir (small Radharaman temple). There is a spring room in this temple, in which devotees from every corner of the country throng from every corner of the country on the occasion of Vasant Panchami to have rare darshan of the seated Thakur Radharaman Lal Ji (Radha-Krishna ji).

About Shahji Temple, Vrindavan

Shahji Temple, Vrindavan (Shahji Temple, Vrindavan ) located in Vrindavan, one of the most iconic places in India, is the best architectural specimen ever. The temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, ranks high for its religious and spiritual value to Hindus, and is one of the major attractions of the city of Vrindavan.

Shahaji Mandir is known for its extraordinary beauty and unique architecture. The temple was built in the 19th century, and is a unique palace-style structure known for its elegant designs and carvings.

In fact, the design is a mix of Rajasthani , Italian and Belgian art. It has beautiful carvings and paintings along its interiors, walls and exteriors. While there are people who come here to pray, there are others who come to appreciate the exquisite style, structure and grace. The temple was built like a palace and was dedicated to Radha and Lord Krishna.

Chhote Radha Raman is the name given to all the deities in the temple here. The temple is a magnificent structure and displays impressive architectural prowess. It has spiral pillars each 15 feet high. You can also see Vasanti Kamra (Basanti Kamra) – the magnificent Belgian glass chandelier in the Durbar Hall.

There are also some attractive paintings that adorn the interior of the temple. Even if you are not a religious minded devotee, but you can definitely enjoy a visit to this temple because of the beauty of this temple.

INSIDE SHAH JI TEMPLE, VRINDAVAN The right verandah has portraits of the founders and their families carved into the floor. The engraved images depict his purity of mind and the character of the saint in a lively manner. The idea of putting his paintings on the floor instead of on the wall is a clear mark of his purity. In Braj Dham the 'Raja' (sand) is kept in supreme...

Shahji Temple Vrindavan history dates back to the 19th century. It was established in 1876 by two merchant brothers of Lucknow – Shah Kundan Lal and Shah Phundan Lal. The temple shows the love of Radha and Krishna.

Basanti Kamra(Durbar Hall) inside the temple opens only on two occasions – Basant Panchami(around January/February) and Jhulan Yatra(around July/August). On these festivals, the idols are brought into the hall and decorated and worshipped. Thousands of devotees visit Shahji Temple during these occasions. It is also known as the yellow room, because of its yellow decor. The ceilings and interiors have colourful paintings depicting stories from Raas-Leela and different events from the life of Lord Krishna.

Shahji Temple(opens throughout the year) is a religious destination known for its unique architecture. Because of its spiral columns, it has earned the nickname “Tedhe Khambe Wala Mandir” (the temple with spiral columns). The presiding deity of the Shahji Temple in Vrindavan is Radha-Krishna. He is lovingly called Chhote Radha-Raman.Shahji Temple architecture differs from the usual Hindu temple style. It is built with high-quality white Italian marble, in a mix of Greek, Mughal and Hindu style. The spacious terraces are supported by 12 beautiful spiral columns, each cut out of one...

Very attractively curved pillars and the whole temple developed with white marble wins your heart and souls like the relationship between Radha and Krishna. Temple Just situated near Nidhivan. The entrance gate and market also offers beautiful ornaments, clothes, dresses, auspicious deity idols, bracelet, pandent, lockets etc. Temple architectural design and style show modern Indian heritage mixed with some Greek style. Temple timing is fixed so visit by checking the current timing. The temple has a spiral vertical columns which shows its unique and special temple then another's temples. but we found the temple courtyard dirty with dust. The fountain was not working for public views which show the government's lack of responsibility towards the operating temple system. Inside campus premises have PNB bank and ATM too. But local vendors offer food stuffs 5 rs to 10 rs higher than MRP which show how locals vendor ruining the trust of tourists and sentiment. We were really hurted by the locals behaviour of local vendors. I didn't see the crowd tourists then other places but those who came to see were actually waiting to see Nidhivan. Waiting areas are widespread with ventilated space, many rested there including us. Happy...
