A Place of Beauty, Complexity, and Transformation – Vrinda Kunja, Vrindavan
Between 1999 and 2001, I had the privilege of spending a profoundly meaningful and enriching period of my life at Vrinda Kunja Ashram in Vrindavan. It was a time filled with spiritual depth, philosophical inquiry, and inner growth. Immersed in the study of the Vedas – especially Ayurveda – I was able to engage both theoretically and practically with the ancient wisdom of India.
Vrindavan itself is a mystical place. When approached with a refined state of consciousness and sincere intent, it opens doors to experiences and encounters that transcend ordinary perception. In this subtle vibration, one may feel grace, presence, and insight that are rarely found elsewhere in the world.
The ashram of Vrinda Kunja – beautifully nestled within the sacred landscape of Vrindavan – carries a powerful and unique history. Through the tireless efforts of Bhakti Aloka Paramadvaiti Swami and many devoted disciples, this centuries-old temple was lovingly restored and brought back to life. Their dedication, discipline, and selfless service have left a lasting legacy that can still be felt today. It is truly hard to put into words what this restoration means for the spiritual heritage of the area.
At the same time, I must honestly acknowledge that I later chose to leave the community. The relationship with Paramadvaiti Swami changed significantly, and in retrospect, this decision was justified. Years later, multiple credible reports emerged concerning his involvement in serious misconduct and inappropriate behavior toward students – a deeply saddening truth that caused much pain and disappointment among many former disciples and seekers.
Nevertheless, Vrinda Kunja remains a place worth visiting. It is a spiritual oasis steeped in beauty, tradition, and sincerity – shaped not only by its founder but also by countless sincere devotees who gave their hearts to this sacred service.
May all beings connected with this holy place be happy and fulfilled – free from lust, greed, anger, and illusion – and may they be blessed by the mercy of Śrī Krishna and His pure servants in this material...

I visited Vrindavan for the first time and i was so lucky that i choose Vrinda Kunj Ashram. This is the most beautiful place i have been and especially because of the people there with a heart of gold(Madhav, Bhakti Mata, Radha) I made some really good friends and connected with them at spiritual level.
If you want to embark on a spiritual journey and want to reflect closer into your soul and being, than this is the place to be.
On the occasion of Radha Ashtami, Madhav took us for a parikrama and we sang, we danced and Madhav told us various leela's of Lord Krishna and Radha maa.
I was so inspired by each and everyone there, such devotion and love for Lord Krishna. We ate satvic food in ashram, cleaned our own utensils, the rooms and food both were very very reasonable.
This is not a resort or a five star hotel so we need to keep our expectations clear. This is nothing short of retreat and a life changing experience!!
I will...
Read moreI've been watched and filmed by one of the worker from Argentina (maybe the owner) during my shower by a small window (no need to precise it was without my consent). It make me feels so bad and unsafe especially as a solo traveller. It was in the room close to the stair in the courtyard. I don't think he's going to leave because when I asked him to call the owner he said it was him.. So please be careful, I've seen him but maybe some didn't or will not... if you choose to go there anyway at least protect the window with something if they still didn't add certains (the window if very small with something on but still you can see if you out your face as...
