I visited the shrine with my mother who is 82 year old and cannot walk more than a few meters with the help of walking stick. I had booked the darshan date and time in advance and requested for a wheelchair and attendant for her. The hotel car we used dropped us at the main gate of the temple 10 minutes before the scheduled time. It was a Thursday, and our allotted time was 5-7 PM. The counter that issues the wheelchair is just 50 meter from the main gate and she could walk to it. (On the way back the wheelchair brought her all the way to the car on the main road). The procedure to get the wheelchair and attendant was very fast. They needed a printed copy of the appointment time which I had not taken. I had to get the print out from the counter and it took 5 minutes (it is better to carry a printed copy). Then we had to deposit small bags, waist pouches, all electronic devices like phones, smart watch, power bank etc. at the locker next to the check in counter. We could only carry our wallets and the printed copy with us into the temple. The locker attendant gave me a receipt and a token number of the locker. The attendant wheeled my mother (and I walked beside them) through a separate lane meant for wheelchairs. We walked about 200 meter to the next stop where we deposited our shoes into another locker. We got another token at this counter to identify our shoe bag. On the way our printed paper copy was checked at 2 check points. There were drinking water points along the way but we did not use them. After depositing the shoes we walked another 200 meters to the main temple and the deity. We were fortunate to have a close darshan as there was no crowd. Then we returned covering the same points in reverse sequence all the way back to the car. On the way out we took a picture with our phone at the entrance of the temple. The attendant wheeled my mother all the way to the car. In total we spent about 1 hour from the time we left the car to the time we returned to the car. None of the facilities were charged. We tipped at some places on our own though nobody asked for it. The lockers were secure. Overall the organization was very smooth and the staff was very helpful. Before going I was a bit worried due to my mother’s lack of mobility, but the experience turned out to be smooth and convenient. I am sharing my experience to reassure others like me who may be considering visiting. Hope it helps....
