Labuan Bajo Port — Attraction in Flores

Port city, new jewel of the east, pristine and less commercialized than Bali, Komodo islands.

The starting point of Live on Board in Komodo islands. A small but clean and decent airport at southern Flores island, the closest to Komodo islands. The city is "pristine", with roads not clogged with cars and motorbikes, houses still have gardens, old style shops, few buildings taller than three floors. Motortaxi "ojek" and private car taxi (no Uber, sorry) are main transport mode for tourists in the city. The small town has some interesting places of interest. The sea port is scenic with many kinds of boats and it has sunset view. Seen from the hill, the port is scenic with colorful house roofs, blue sea and small islands. Kampung Ujung is local and traditional seafood culinary center by the sea, near the Labuan Bajo sea port. Get local and support local community. You can choose the fresh fish/prawn/crab/squid then tell the cook how you want it cooked. Mirror rock cave is a bit far off. Ancient coral that forms giant cave, with feature a crevice that during midday will allow a thin sunrays into the cave creating an illusion of a mirror. And a coral that shaped like Mary (called Bunda Maria). Restaurants, mostly operated and owned by foreigners. Some resto have view to the sea and sunset. Exotic shop is the souvenir shop in the city in front of the airport. Amelia hills, round mounds like teletubbies hills. Amazing sunset view. Resorts, Atlantis On The Rock is scenic. Saya tiba jam 5 sore dilabuan bajo pemandangan laut yang indah dari sape jam 10 pagi. Ombak lautnya tenang udara cerah sehingga bisa dilihat ikan lumba-lumba yang berenang didampingi kapal feri. Labuan bajo merupakan pintu masuk ke Flores NTT sebelah barat. Perkembangan pembangunan, hotel sangat cepat semenjak p komodo banyak dikunjungi wisatawan asing . Sayang sekali kota labuan bajo belum tertata rapi, kesannya kering dan gersang tidak ada taman hijau. Dari labuan bajo rute jalan naik seperti obat nyamuk menuju Ruteng yang dingin. Hanya ada jalan yang lurus datar kanan kiri sawah yaitu Lembor tempat kami istirahat makan malam sekitar jam 21.00. jalan naik lurus lalu berkelok-kelok lagi dan lurus naik hingga tiba di Ruteng jam 22,30.
