Firstly, we were non-verbally directed by a mere finger point to the ‘laptop zone’ as there were no seats available in the cafe or outdoor space. We weren’t given a choice of waiting for nicer seating. After retrieving the menus and aircon remote ourselves, we finally ordered our 3rd choice breakfast (since majority of the items weren’t available).
Their ‘signature’ breakfast was appalling. The boiled pumpkin was as tasteless as a fat hairy old guy in a Speedo (leaving null to the imagination) applying tanning lotion in downward dog on a family-friendly beach. The mushrooms were drier than Ghandi’s flip flop and the boiled Spinach reverted me to childhood, where attempts to eat greens were met with disgust, protest and tears.
The food arrived long before the drinks, which retrospectively may have been a positive. My boyfriend ordered a frappe which saw the unusual addition of shardy GLASS. And loads of it at that. When we pointed it out to the staff, they offered us a new one. No apology, no concern for his or other customer’s welfare, and no remorse. We ended up speaking to the manager on the phone, who too was neglecting the harm this can have on a person’s body. The staff continued making and serving drinks with the same bag of ice after we had identified it as the cause. They took the glass of glass we showed them and washed it out. Out of sight out of mind I guess!
The manager eventually offered us our meal for free, but refused to recognise health concerns were paramount. Anywho, I write this review post-hospital visit.
A bang average cafe with below average food, service, empathy and medical...

I’m not one to complain. I didn’t care about the slow service or the bland breakfast. But then I was served a glass of GLASS—and that, my friends, was the tipping point. I ordered a frappé, what I didn’t order was the crunchy accoutrement at the bottom of my glass. At first, I thought it was just some weirdly chunky ice. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. It was GLASS. And it was only when I reached the bottom that I realized what I’d been crunching on wasn’t ice but shards of glass. Delicious. So I told the staff, thinking they’d take it seriously… Oops, my bad. They offered to remake the drink, but still continued to serve drinks with GLASS-tainted ice to other customers. Call me crazy, but after hearing there’s GLASS in the ice, maybe—just maybe—they could, I don’t know, change the bag of ice? Nope. Not a chance. After a back-and-forth, they finally called the manager who, in his infinite wisdom, said, and I quote, “Well, what would you like me to do about it?” No apology, no safety precautions, just a complete lack of concern. Need I say more?
Avoid this place if you don’t want breakfast with a side of hospital bills.
Btw there was allot more glass I just took a photo of a bit of it and couldn’t photograph the stuff I had already drank

Read moreWe had a really pleasant stay! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful – always ready to assist with tips about the area and transportation. The rooms were clean, cozy, and nicely arranged. The food and coffee were absolutely delicious – we truly enjoyed every meal. It was perfect that we had the option to order to our room or enjoy it out on the terrace – very convenient and relaxing.||Since the hostel is located in the city center, there is a mosque nearby and also a rooster that likes to sing early in the morning – but it’s really not a problem. The hostel thoughtfully provides earplugs for a more comfortable sleep, which we really appreciated.||Unfortunately, we needed a doctor during our stay, and the staff immediately contacted a clinic and arranged for a doctor to visit us in our room. They also helped organize a driver to the airport when we needed it. Their care and support made us feel safe and truly looked after.||We were also happy that we could safely store our luggage at the hostel when needed – a very helpful option, especially on check-out day.||We especially appreciated that they offered us a discount as an apology for a loud party that happened nearby – such a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care about their guests.||We would definitely recommend this hostel to...
