This hostel is perfect for a time to quieten down and recover from the hustle and heat of Labuan Bajo. It’s right on the Main Street so super easy to browse dive shops and tour packages. It’s attached to a restaurant that opens early so you can get your coffee fix and the staff there are also helpful. The standout of this place is just how clean and tidy the dorms are. Seriously the housekeeping is done by one or two guys only but it’s the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in. The bathroom and toilets are always clean. The sink is tidy and never gross. They provide shampoo and soap in the rain shower bathroom. Though there are only two bathrooms and two toilets somehow it never feels crowded or dirty, I guess everyone here is respectful of the place. There are total of 12 guests in the hostel dorms. There’s a nice common table and benches for mingling and resting. You can also bring your own meals back to eat at the table comfortably. They provide water refill, cups and plates freely for your use. Also love that there is a strong ceiling fan to ventilate the whole common area. The dorm rooms are also tidy, comfy and felt like home. Certainly a good place to recharge and rest quietly. The room had some good points like a covered mini trash bin, and also a standing lamp with soft light. The lockers were big. The only suggestion I can give is to install some hooks to hang clothes inside each bunk bed. Can also provide two or three more clothes rack outdoors to hang clothes to dry. They provided one and that was nice. Love the outdoor sofa space which they cleaned , dusted and sunned everyday. I saw the staff use a power jet pressure washer to wash the floor outdoors - no wonder it always felt so clean. I felt no sand at all and my feet were clean all the time indoors. That made a big part making it feel like home. No lizard droppings around. One suggestion also is to have some sort of mosquito repellent machine or light installed outside to ward off mosquitos from entering. And perhaps also a first aid box at the common area where one can help oneself to mosquito repellent. Putting a bathroom mat at the bathroom would be good too. The staff at reception is also very friendly and professional. Helpful and always open to help. Polite and well trained. No arrogance unlike at some hostels. I really had a good restful time here. In fact, it’s a place I would be willing to return again to get rest. Home...
Read moreIf I had reviewed this place on my experience after check but before dinner, it would have gotten a much higher score. Having spent the night in Room 10, I think I'm being very generous.
RESPONSE TO HOTELS RESPONSE The manager certainly DID NOT offer to change the curtains at the time of my complaint (around 1030pm) Instead he asked for copies of the picture I had taken to share with someone, I can only assume his superior. In fact, he told me that the issue had arisen before and they had addressed it by adding, for some absurd reason, a second sheer curtain. Your response is consistent with other guests accusations of lying, your refusal to take responsibility for an idiotic decorating decision and to offer real solutions. But even if he had suggested sourcing proper curtains at 1030pm, did he expect me to be happy to have his staff come into my room at that time of night to do projects? Your response has earned one less star and an irate customer. For future reference, since you clearly don't understand service, an appropriate response would have been to offer us a partial refund, or perhaps a free drink, or a free meal in your overpriced restaurant, and a simple apology rather than an accusation that I turned down a solution that your manager...

2️⃣ Rooms & Comfort 🏡 The rooms are spacious, clean, and designed with natural aesthetics—wooden interiors give a rustic, cozy feel. I love the smell. However, due to its hillside location, there are lots of stairs to climb, which might not be ideal for those with mobility issues.
3️⃣ Dining & Services 🍽️ The hotel features an in-house restaurant serving a mix of local and international dishes. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, often featuring fresh tropical fruits. The staff are friendly and helpful, assisting with tour bookings, transport, and recommendations.
4️⃣ Pros & Cons ✅ Stunning harbour views ✅ Good location – close to restaurants & tour operators ✅ Spacious & clean rooms ✅ Helpful staff & tour services ❌ Many stairs – not suitable for everyone ❌ No swimming pool
