This place is best suited for those who want to have some adventure in Indonesia. First of all the road to get here from Banyuwangi is pretty straightforward and one can rent motorbikes in the city and drive here themselves. But do note you will have to leave city around 12AM so that you can reach parking area by 2AM. The parking area has numerous shops where one can grab a quick food or drink. You can also rent masks here. Once you are there, you will need to wait as the main gate won't open till 2AM. Post gate opens, all the gathered people start their hike up the mountain with head torches. They have a website from where you can buy tickets online and show them to enter the trail. Post that you can just follow the crowd and you won't be lost at all along the way. The hike up the mountain is completely inclined and you will be panting of breath soon. But take one step at a time. If you want to see blue fire, you need to be on the ridge by 4AM max as after 5AM, daylight starts and you won't be able to see the blue fire. To see the blue fire, one again needs to hike down from the ridge through boulder sections. Time to mask up now. Take the shots and head back to ridge as early as possible to not miss the beautiful sunrise scenes from top. Note that the sunrise point shown on the map is again almost 1km worth of hike along the ridge. Overall this destination is a must visit if you are fit enough to do so. There is also option of local people charging to carry you up the mountain or down in their so called Ferraris for a charge :D (small handheld...
