Bungkul Park Bungkul Park is a Green Open Space (RTH) located in the center of Surabaya City. Bungkul Park is located on Jalan Taman Bungkul, Darmo, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City, East Java. The park which was inaugurated on March 21, 2007 has various facilities that attract the public and tourists. The area which was built on an area of 900 square meters was awarded The 2013 Asian Townscape Award or the best garden in Asia in 2013. The name Bungkul Park comes from a very influential figure in the spread of Islam in Surabaya and its surroundings. The character is named Ki Ageng Supo, who gets the title Sunan Bungkul or Mbah Bungkul. Ki Ageng Supo is buried behind this garden which is also a place for pilgrims.

This is a very well known park in Surabaya, even people from outside Surabaya knows a little about this park. The park is really green and beautiful because of many trees, that also make the air become cooler here. There are many areas for people to do skateboard, jogging, and many kind of sports. A playground for children also available here. It can be accessed easily because of being located near the city centre, and many public transportation through this place.

Award-winning city park, served as citizens' activity, education, and entertainment center. Visually good, well-maintained, and nice ambience. You can buy local light snacks and take a break from your daily routine here. Or if you want a bigger meal, just go to the corner to find many choices of Surabayan food stalls. Don't forget to throw your trash to the specific category of trash-bin. The park is just a good way to tell you how well this city is managed.

I dared to post photos from an off-the-beaten angles. I'm not sure why this park is popular after actually visiting here. Yeah, it's big and green. You can enjoy fresh air, however it's never a quiet place. It's surrounded by busy roads. Well, this is not a touristy spot from the beginning. By the way, it might be good for lunch since you can find an open-air food court(?) somewhere in this plot. Oasis for businesspeople.

Ini bukan taman kota deh. Ini hutan kota. Diameter Beringinnya gaaaeesss... 2 pelukan orang dewasa. Suuueeeejjuuuukkk reeeeek... Tempat duduknya asik... Tamannya bersih, tanamannya cantik, lengkap untuk semua umur. Parkirnya mantab dan yg paling penting, ada WC portable nya gaees.... Taman ini terbagi beberapa zona. Ada zona sepeda, sepatu roda, air mancur, ada juga tempat duduk keliling kayak amfiteater. Mungkin buat nobar ato gelar acara2 gitu, ada zona pejalan kaki yg terlarang buat sepeda, jadi kita nyaman mau keliling2 disini... Ada zona tanaman cantik dengan lampu2 yg orang dilarang lewat.. Jangan coba2 deh daripada lo malu diliatin orang ato diteriakin petugas. Petugas kebersihannya rame dan berdedikasi banget looh.. Shift nya aja dibagi 4 ama bu risma walikota. Tukang parkirnya gak mau dikasih tips, dia bilang gajinya sebulan 3jt. Udah cukup buat nyekolahin anak. Parkir mobilnya kan pake meteran parkir... Pokokenya recomended deh. Lo mau bawa pacar, bawa anak dan keluarga juga asik... Asal jangan barengan bawanya ya... Perang bintang entar... Lo mau ngelamun sendiri, ampe kesurupan juga tetep asik. Kalo ke surabaya jangan gak mampir deh. Nyeseeellll...

Taman bungkul merupakan salah satu taman yang ada di pusat kota surabaya. Lokasinya berada di jalan darmo. Selain itu lokasinya sangat dekat dengan kebun binatang surabaya. Jalur jalan di area taman bungkul ini rutin digunakan untuk car free day dimana salah satu pusat keramaiannya berada di area sekitar taman bungkul itu sendiri.
