Sky Lombok Paragliding — Attraction in West Nusa Tenggara

Dodi was extremely quick to respond to my queries.

A bottle of water was issued before heading up the hill for the flight. They will lend you an action camera to film during the flight, but they did not have a helmet mount, just selfie stick. If you have a 360 camera, you should use your own as the footage will be amazing. I wore flip flops and it was fine, but was told that here have been incidents where one’s flip flops fell due to strong wind.

The flight was less scary than I thought. In fact, it was very relaxing and the view was amazing. The pilot explained how paragliding works. The pilot asked if I wanted to have an adrenaline rush, and proceeded to swing the paraglided side to side. The feeling is similar to that of a roller coaster.

Spent an amazing afternoon with Dodi and friends paragliding above azure blue waters and bright green lands. I booked the afternoon for a birthday and extensively communicated with Dodi on the day, options, weather forecast, wanting to ensure we had enough wind and preferably no rain. We walked to his shop (don’t get discouraged by the Indonesian style :)) after which we drove to a drop off point. From there we walked 8min up to end on the top of the hill where the team prepared everything for the four of us. Paragliding with Dodi was a seamless and fantastic experience. His quick responses and flawless organization made the entire process easy and enjoyable. From being picked up to meeting our pilots at the site, everything flowed smoothly. The paragliding itself was exhilarating, set against a beautiful landscape.

Having the best pilot added to the fun, and the 20 minutes in the air were truly enjoyable. The inclusion of a GoPro in the price allowed us to capture stunning videos and photos, which we received on our way back to the homestay.
