La Cabaña Lombok — Restaurant in Lombok

Food took so long. More than 2 hours. We advanced ordered the Paella as we were informed that it would take 40 minutes to cook so we ordered a couple of apps and some mains.

The first one that came out was the Paella, not the apps. And it was served cold. We were really hungry by then so we didn’t complain.

Went to the server to have the rest of the orders cancelled coz it was taking incredibly long but before I could say anything, he told me that the reason why we were served paellas first is because we ordered it first before the apps. Well, shouldn’t the kitchen be firing apps while they’re cooking the paella?

Another hour came and finally we were served some apps, that is after a couple of follow ups.

The croquettes were okay but it could’ve been saved if it was served with a sauce. Another waiting game and then we were served our Filet Mignon. We ordered MR but it came out blue. Same with our friend’s order.

We asked the server to have it cooked to MR. They sent us back the plate but it was still rare. Not medium rare. At this point, we were just disappointed already.

We tried to talk to the server and he was a bit apprehensive and when our friend started asking questions as to why the service took so long, that’s the only time he apologized.

One of our friends also ordered carbonara as she was claiming you can never go wrong with the pasta as it’s the easiest to cook but it also took her more than 2 hours to be served.

They could be understaffed, lacked training (specially with managing guest expectations), we don’t know. All we know is the place has so much potential for the kind of food and service that we...

You just destroyed our last night here in Lombok. Dont be fooled with the number of 5-star ratings here in Google - we found out that some of our friends also had the same experience. I hope this review wont get removed. Save your time and money and go eat somewhere else instead!

Let's start with the good: place is good. Drinks was served cold (pun intended)

Staff - the guy that takes the order and handles the payment is really RUDE. My friend was just about to ask if they have prepared the starters already, and she's not even finished talking yet, then this guy interrupted her reasoning out on why our orders are delayed and blaming it to us because we ordered the paellas first and then the starters after. When we paid, he was telling us that we ordered a different paella, and reasoning out he repeated the order and we said ok blah blah blah. Then he has a script already on apologizing regarding the delays which doesnt seem to be sincere or what.

Food and service - Ordered paellas in advanced since it states in the menu it will take 40mins to be served. Then we ordered the starters and salad so we have something to eat before the paellas. After an hour - paellas were served COLD. After almost another hour, the salad is served. Then the croquettes (with no sauce). Then the 2 fillet minons. We asked it medium rare, but we were served 1 rare, and 1 RAW!!! My friend ordered a pasta - oh how can you go wrong with pasta, but NO - it was served almost 2 hrs after.
