Me and my partner stayed in Kabila for a week in July 2024. We aim for the below review to state facts; however, due to our experience, some emotional comments are unavoidable.||The positive:|- Villas are quite spacious with a good layout, private pools, and a comfy bed.|- Breakfast was fantastic with a good choice of items and very tasteful.|- The staff is very friendly and everyday afternoon snack was a nice touch.|- The location is perfect. Close to the main junction in Kuta with plenty of options to eat out.||The negative:|- There was a robbery across multiple villas in Kabila and a neighboring hotel in the middle of the night on our last night. Multiple valuables (including 2 laptops, a tablet, drone equipment, and small electronics) have been stolen from me and my partner while we were sleeping.|The staff was very slow to react, call the police and even check with other guests once we raised an alarm. In fact, we had to do all of this ourselves.|There are cameras in the common areas across the property, however, as we were informed by staff, they were not functioning during our stay. The robbers likely came through a small opening in a back wall facing another villa, service corridor, and a construction site on the ground floor, using a ladder. The only camera facing that direction, owned by another property, conveniently had a glitch and no footage could be recovered.|There is also a night guard on the premises. However, he is based next to the entrance. We passed him once or twice while coming back from dinner without ever being questioned if we were guests.|In fairness, the owner did refund our whole stay and allowed us to stay an additional night while we were dealing with police, investigation, and rebooking subsequent reservations and flights.|However, this did not even remotely compensate for our physical losses (even after insurance claims), not to mention the psychological impact of such an ordeal.||- There is construction ongoing in the whole area. It takes place from early morning to late afternoon/evening. It was bothersome during our stay for the whole week.||- Some areas of the villa require a good refresh or redesign, in particular the bathroom. When you take a shower half of the bathroom...
Read moreI stayed at Kabila Villas over valentines day as it is also my partners birthday. The villa is in an amazing location close to bars and restaurants, only a couple of minute walk. The layout and design of the villa is absolutely beautiful, spacious and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and there are various options to choose from and it is delivered straight to your door. Staff are contactable via a whatsapp concierge service this is very hand and convenient. The hotel made a great effort with birthday decorations in the room and this was a really lovely extra with a lot of thought and care.
There was a couple of aspects I believe could have been improved and stay with the luxury feel of the accommodation. If we wanted our room to be made up i.e. bed made and breakfast dishes taken away we had to ask. Usually this would just be during the day. When the breakfast dishes had been there all day it had attracted ants etc. Around 2pm I had realised this and messaged for the room to be made up and around 5pm the staff came to clean. This is only a small suggestion as it didn't really affect our stay.
I would highly recommend anyone to stay here as it really...
Read moreMy second stay at Kabila Villas. The location is great as you can walk to the restaurant strip in 5 minutes, great if you don’t want to rely on bikes or cars. ||The villas offer a really nice sense of privacy. The upstairs bedroom is spacious, has the most comfortable bed and the pillows are great, near the window is the feature oval bath. En-suite bathroom is good.||The ground floor has a nice open living, no aircon needed as the fan kept this area cool, plus you have the bonus plunge pool to dive into.||The entire team of staff are incredible and go out of their way to try and ensure your complete satisfaction. There is some current maintenance doing conducted. The staff kept apologizing for this, but to be honest, it did not dampen my stay. The tropics is tough on buildings, gotta have maintenance if you want to keep it looking good.||Not the cheapest, but I believe it’s worth every cent. It’s nice luxury villa hotel without going over the top and really good for those that prefer a little...
