Kingdom Falconry is, without a doubt, the best spur of the moment decision I've made in some time. I booked a Sunday afternoon Hawk Walk (Kingdom Falconry is one of the businesses in Dingle that does offer Sunday times for interaction) and not only learned a massive amount from Emily and Julien (the handlers) but also Harry, Luna, Orla and the whole menagerie. It is lovely to have such an up close experience - it was private and very well time managed - all three in my party were offered gloves and had multiple opportunities to experience Harry flitting from one glove to the next, as well as space for perfectly set up and timed slow-mo shots that really showcase the beauty of his flight. Afterward, because we did get a little rained on, we were offered a short session with Luna (the young owl, perched on a handler's glove below) and a brief tour of the aviary. You could feel in every moment how cared for these birds are - and how they are asked only for performance of their natural behaviors. Kingdom Falconry feels a little like a love letter to these animals, and as a visitor you're offered a well tailored pass into the experience. I came to Dingle for a family visit, to see the same tourist sites as anyone, but I would come back even if all I could do was spend more time at...

Five stars, Lucas and Ozzie were amazing!! We booked the private hawk walk and I would highly recommend it! Our tour guide/falconer was Lucas and he was wonderful - if you get him you're in for a real treat! He was very knowledgeable about the birds, personable, gentle, and kind. You could tell that he genuinely loves what he does. He began our time together with a short overview of how the hawk walk would work After that he brought out Ozzie the Harris's Falcon. We spent the beginning portion of our time building a rapport with Ozzie - he flew around us, Lucas showed us how to properly hold out our gloved hand, and Ozzie would land on it. We then walked down to the shore while Lucas gave us falcon facts and had Ozzie land on our hands. He made sure that we all had fairly equal time with Ozzie. Down by the shore we were able to take some very cool slo-mo shots of Ozzie flying from Lucas to us, and continue to learn more about Ozzie and what its like to be a falconer. We made our way back to the beginning and wete then led into the back to meet the rest of the birds of Kingdom Falconry. They all have their own personalities and Lucas knew a lot about each one. We had an amazing time, truly one of the highlights of my time in Dingle. If you find yourself there you MUST...

This will be one of the highlights of my Ireland trip. Eric and Emily were a great team. When bookings were low so that only my wife and I could attend, Eric agreed to carry on for just the two of us! Emily greeted us and brought out a special surprise - two baby owls! Emily was a wealth of knowledge. Her talk was brilliant and seamlessly integrated into the performance. We saw several magnificent birds of prey including a lovely Barn Owl, an Eagle Owl, a Harris Hawk, and more. We asked questions throughout.

Yes, we got to hold the birds while they performed flawlessly for Eric and Emily. It was a superior demonstration in every way, which included a tour of the aviary on site at the Millhouse Inn.

Finally, it was evident that Eric and Emily care deeply for these magnificent birds. Yes, they are under the control of the falconers. But they looked healthy, fit, and and understood.

If you love birds, book immediately. If you are curious, book right away. If you want to experience that famous Irish hospitality in a completely different...

We were on a Wild Atlantic Way tour and were able to break free and book a private "Hawk Walk" at Kingdom Falconry. My son loves wild animals, and especially birds of prey. This was a surprise for him, but we all ended up loving it. The birds are all magnificent. The walk was relaxed and we had a lot of time with the Harris Hawk named Clive flying back and forth between our gloves, posing for pictures with each of us, and snatching scraps of food in midair. The aviary was a unexpected extra. There were many species of owls, hawks, falcons and an eagle. Our guide Niamh was fantastic. She knew how to help us have the best experience, and capture great photos and slow motion videos. She was really knowledgeable and you could really tell how much she loved these birds. The location, around the harbor from the main town, was beautiful and definately worh the visit. Highly recommended.
