One of Ireland's finest beaches several km of sand, tidal, can get choppy, great for kite sailing/surfing, board surfing, swimming, sailing or touring south eastern Ireland. Check out the dunes, bird nesting, wildlife good for walking. Be careful at back strand tidal treacherous shifting sands, keep to pathways. Swimming is ok at back strand and sheltered from breaking waves. Amusements on or near 500M prominade. Tramore is dormitory town to Waterford City about 7 miles away. The coastal road trip to Dungarvan is spectacular and the route is not heavily trafficked, good but narrow macadam roads. Check out The Green Way, a walkers or cycling trail safe and peaceful. Visit the copper coast Jurassic treasure. A month in the vecinity of Tramore could be spent visiting, Curraghmorer house, Portlaw, Mount Congreve, The Comeragh mountains, The Dolmans at Knockeen. A day trip will get you to Checkpoint, Dunmore East or across to Kennedy Park, the JFK family homestead. A week in Tramore guarantees a treat full of variety for memories. Ask for tallest tree, the Comeragh lakes, the mountain top bogs, fishing trips and local music and...

One of favourite beaches for a sunny warm day in Ireland. The beach is long and sandy, with no rocks, which makes it very comfortable to spend the day. The sea is like a bay, so no waves, the water is calm and cristal clear. There are lifeguards in busy days and plenty of space for the crowd. There’s plenty of parking - 2€ for the whole day in the street - and even in really busy days you can find a spot close to the beach. There’s public toilets all around, including one with an outdoor shower in case that’s needed. All over the seafront you have places to eat, nice cafes and restaurants. It does give that “holiday beach” vibe. There’s an amusement park waterfront, great for the kids. If you’re going to spend the day in the beach and need to buy some stuff, there’s an Aldi just 3min walk from the beach. Tramore also has some amazing places to eat, so highly recommend the town for a weekend or even a day trip on...

Great place to visit for a holiday, there are plenty of places to go some lovely walks great pub life if that's what your in to. The kids will love it loads of activities for them swimming pool right there arcades and amusements rides,. Book accommodation easily so not to miss out it does get booked out.. Its allso very expensive for booking of accommodation bring loads of money because everything is expensive,That's its only down fall.. There is some great fishing there, cliff fishing or beach fishing or boat fishing its great fun, the diving boards are a good day out to but its better if you take the walk up, be prepared to walk up hills alot. Eating out is great I would recommend, welcome, Chinese for takeaway and super value for fresh cakes and buns the doughnuts are beautiful if you like sweet food.. All the best and I hope you love it don't be afraid to explore it's beach...

Much better than Bray or Salthill. I had a few hours to spare so I decided to visit Tramore and it took me much less than an hour to get there from the Granville Hotel in Waterford. Getting to Tramore from Waterford City Travelling to Tramore from Waterford City is very straightforward and easy. The two towns are located just 12 kilometres apart, and there is a frequent and direct bus service operated by Bus Éireann (Route 360) that connects them. The journey is short, taking approximately 18-20 minutes, with buses running every 30 minutes throughout the day. This makes it a very convenient and reliable option for commuters and visitors alike.

Fantastic blue flag beach with convenient parking and close access to the town and all its facilities, restaurants and entertainment including a small carnival and swimming pool. The beach itself is great for watersports like surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing. So regardless of the weather or time of year you're likely to find someone in the water. Although wind or sun certainly helps. Lifeguard on duty in the designated area (indicated with flags).
