The stuff of dreams - I’ve literally been dreaming about the delicious, fresh, tasty seafood dishes made by Dennis here since my first visit last summer! Lobster/crab/prawn rolls or open sandwiches with tasty pickled sides & salty crisps, enjoyed on the picnic benches outside or down on the beach slip below. An absolute gem anywhere in the world but lucky for you who might stumble across it in Tramore, just off the Main Street. Very much worth the uphill climb from the beach. They also do restaurant quality take away dishes such as chowders, pies, curries, fish cakes, tagines & more. A foodie must visit!! Just don’t get caught out - they close Sunday - Tuesday unfortunately or I’d be here every day! 5* & then some. If it was anywhere else in the world, there’d be queues out the door all year round! Absolute Gem of a place. Walked by, popped in, met with extremely friendly, helpful and kind staff who patiently talked me through their takeaway meal options......came away with Monkfish Curry and a Seafood Pie.......oh my Jesus....Monkfish curry last night was absolutely 5 star restaurant quality....superb. I cooked some brown rice and added a few french beans from my garden. Really considering having seafood pie for breakfast this morning as I can't wait to eat it tonight. Will be back again on Wednesday when they open up again......Top Class ..a treat in store for you folks. They also supply a few food shops around Waterford btw.......i.e Ardkeen stores. Visited at lunchtime, staff was super friendly. Wife and I had the crab rolls with mango, topped with house pickles and mayo with a generous side of salt & vinegar crisps. Hand on heart can say it was the best crab sandwich I’ve ever tasted in Ireland. Absolutely outstanding...
