Waterford Pétanque Club — Attraction in Waterford

The people's park in the heart of Waterford city is a gem of a facility. With 2 play areas for your little ones it's a Haven for parents. There is a skate park and a running track on site. Beautiful manicured green areas and plenty of seating to relax and watch the world go by. Beautiful coffee shop on site that sells savoury and sweet foods along with any tea or coffee you would want. William the owner is a pleasant and friendly man that has time to chat with his patrons and tell you so many interesting facts about the life he has led. A work in progress given the problematic water level as that entire area was marshland some forty odd years back but a truly lovely place now with plenty of area to relax in and lovely trees some of which are really quite old I would advise however to keep clear of this place at night time as occasionally there has been incidents as lighting is poor and scant camera coverage in the area last time I checked however if anyone has learned of any developments in those areas feel free to pm me and I'll duly correct any inaccuracies or downright foot in...

It's a lovely park indeed. I hear about bad news about the park until we experience it ourselves. I am not generalizing everyone, but some that hang around the park are troublemakers. It was an unfortunate day that we became a target that day. It's a disgrace. Supposed to be a park that's family friendly but to be honest it's not. Thank goodness that nothing very bad happened but it will leave you thoughts of not coming back again. I just want people to be aware of your surroundings once you visit.
