Park Lodge Cafe — Restaurant in Waterford

I really hate when you go in to try out a new place and when you walk in the door no one acknowledges your presence. There was a gentleman in front of me who just finished ordering coffee when I approached the counter. The female barista looked at me and instantly turned her back and began making the beverages. I stood there for about 3 minutes, and I would have been fine if at least someone nodded and said, I'll be with you in 2 seconds." Anything at all. It really made me feel like I wasn't welcomed there. Very poor customer service; it's not like the place was extremely busy and they had a lot to do. I used to work in various cafes, and treating customers like they're invisible was not acceptable. I really don't know how they are still in business although I hope my experience was an isolated incident. The only reason why I gave 2 stars is the fact that their treats look very appetising, probably the only reason why I stood there for the 3 minutes unfortunately couldnt order them as there was no one available to serve me. I’m writing to share some feedback as a regular customer of your café. I’ve always enjoyed your vegan peanut butter date — they’re delicious and used to feel well worth the price. However, I’ve recently noticed that the size of the pastries has become significantly smaller.

To be honest, they’re now so tiny that there’s hardly anything to eat. This is quite disappointing and makes me hesitant to purchase them again, even though the taste is still great.

I hope you’ll take this into consideration. I’d love to continue supporting your café, but changes like this really affect the overall experience.

I just wanted to say thank you for listening and paying attention to your customers. A couple of days ago, I mentioned that the size of the pastry had changed. Now it’s back to normal, and it made me smile!

Cafe is located in the heart of city center's People's Park. At the very entrance. Its really good place to get a cup of tea of coffee with some dessert. All deserts and food homemade in the caffee. They have canteen and you can spot how things are made, as the door is usually open. Its really busy place, as its tiny inside, but really cosy. They have outdoor tables and its great when the weather is lovely, as tou can have cup a tee sitting right in a park. Desserts are fresh, even warm yet quiye often, just from the oven. Place is really busy, but don't hesitate to come. It's a good sign. People know its good place, people come there. Prices are not high. You'll get latte for 2.80_3 euro, and really good desert portion served with whipped cream and custard just for 3 euro. Highly recommend to...
