Just a short walk from Rehavia lies the "Valley of the Cross" - Emek HaMatsleva, in my eyes - one the most beautiful outdoor spots in the city, and my personal go-to place to relax. This park is wide, green and hilly, and provides beautiful view points on the whole area. It won't be hard to find the valley's most significant monument - the Monastery of the Cross. Beautiful to look at from a distance, or take a short walk and explore from within. My personal recommendation - grab a blanket, food and your favorite traveling buddy - and find my favorite bench in Jerusalem (walk west, up the valley, on a path leading to the...

Beautiful piece of nature in the heart of the city. In the past year the paths were widened, new benches and lights were installed making the park inviting day and night. I walk my dog there every day, people can be seen jogging, sitting and watching the view to Emek Hamatzleva, with some romantic...

Beautiful pathway thru nature. Reminds me of Toronto's Earl Bales park. Milton's Way Bike Path is located here too. Plenty of spaces for bikes and peds, lush area, historical landscapes, benches and trash cans along the way. Worth a visit.

Valley of the Cross Park is located in the Valley of the Cross, (also known as the Vale of Rechavia,) so named because Christian tradition holds that the cross on which Jesus was crucified was made from a tree that grew in this valley.
