Mary’s Well — Attraction in Nazareth

Mary's Well, also known as "Bir Maryam" in Arabic, is a historical site located in the town of Nazareth in northern Israel. It is believed to be the site where the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, received the news of her impending pregnancy from the Angel Gabriel. המקום הזה בערבית נקרא  عين العذراء( עין אלעדרא)  מעיין הבתולה או מעיין מרים או באר מרים  .הוא רהט/סביל הנמצא במתחם המעיין בעיר נצרת . ובדיוק נמצא במבנה שאתם רואים בתמונה למעלה , נחשב לאחד המקומות ההיסטוריים לא רק בנצרת אלה במזרח התיכון . המעיין  הזה חשוב למוסלמים ולנוצרים על-פי המסורת נהגה מרים הקדושה, אמו של ישוע, לרדת ולשאוב מים באזור זה. בנוסף, היה המעין בעבר מקור המים היחיד של העיר ובו נאספו תושבי העיר ועוברי אורח על מנת לשאוב מים. הכיכר והרהט שופצו (במקרה הזה אבא שלי היה אחד האנשים שעבדו באתר ועד שלב בניית מבנה המעיין ) והרבה מטבעות ותכשיטים אשר שוחזרו לקראת שנת 2,000. בחפירות שנערכו במקום נמצאו שרידים של תעלות ובריכות מים מתקופות שונות והם מוצגים באולם הישיבות בעיריית נצרת. הצורה הנוכחית של הרהט זהה לזאת שמוצאים בתמונות שצילמו הצליינים במאה ה-19. והיום, נפתחו קרוב למתחם מסעדות  ברמת איכות מאד גבוהה שניתן לבלות ולשבת בשקט יחסי( כי גם קרוב לכביש ראשי) שורה תחתונה...מומלץ לבוא לבקר בכל ימי השבוע יום ראשון חנויות סגורים יום שבת   עמוס  באנשים  פקקים .מלא אנשים באים לבקר. מתי שתבואו..ברוכים הבאים לעיר הקסומה והאהובה...
