Holy Caves — Attraction in Nazareth

All the websites and reviews show they're open 10 - 1 pm, we went at 11:30. They were not open today but didn't tell us why. Maybe it was the rain? There was no one around, no sign of it being closed (actually had a sign that said open 10 - 13), and when we found someone, I think a priest? He just said it was closed and didn't really say anything more. We were disappointed - hopefully it was just due to the rain and people can still visit...
