Brigl Josef Weinkellerei — Attraction in Überetsch-Unterland - Oltradige-Bassa Atesina

Fährt man bewusst zur Vinothek der Kellerei Brigl oder entdeckt sie zufällig auf dem Weg von Eppan nach St. Pauls, so wird man nicht vermuten, dass die Kellerei Brigl eine der größeren Produzenten Südtirols ist. Etwa 50 Hektar gehören zu diesem Betrieb, wobei sich die Erträge durch Zukäufe in etwa verdoppeln. Gearbeitet wird hier unter Einbeziehung modernster Erkenntnisse. Dies drückt sich auch darin aus, dass das Traubengut nach der „Presse“ nicht durch irgendwelche Schläuche gepumpt wird, sondern ab der Anlieferung jeglicher Arbeitsgang mit Hilfe der Schwerkraft zur Ausführung kommt. Schon die Betriebsgröße gibt vor, dass man es sich hier nicht leisten kann, nur für einen elitären Kreis zu produzieren und dies wohl auch nicht will. Sowohl in der Vielfalt der Weine als auch in deren unterschiedlichen Qualitäten, die sich in drei Linien ausdrücken, wird hier darauf geachtet einem breiteren Genussspektrum dienlich zu sein. If you deliberately drive to the wine shop of the Brigl Winery or discover it by chance on the way from Eppan to St. Pauls, you would not guess that the Brigl Winery is one of the larger producers in South Tyrol. About 50 hectares belong to this winery, with yields roughly doubling due to additional purchases. The winery works with the most modern knowledge. This is also expressed in the fact that the grapes are not pumped through any hoses after the “press”, but rather every step of the process is carried out by gravity from the moment of delivery. The size of the winery alone indicates that they cannot afford to produce only for an elite circle and probably do not want to do so. Drove like bats out of hell to get here on a Saturday afternoon before they closed. It is really tucked into the neighborhood and Google maps is essential to follow, otherwise you keep circling the 1way streets. Although they had just released a huge group of people who had come for a tour and tasting, we were taken care of by a lovely young man who let us taste four wines we felt would be suitable. All were lovely and it was easy to part with €26 for a lovely dry Guvertztrammener (sp.) and a beautiful drinkable Red (Langrien? grape) that we will look for now that we’re back...

"Wir hatten das Vergnügen, die Josef Brigl Weinkellerei zu besuchen und wurden von Anfang an mit offenen Armen empfangen. Die Führung durch die Kellerei war nicht nur informativ, sondern auch sehr unterhaltsam. Unser Führer hat uns mit viel Fachwissen und Leidenschaft die Kunst der Weinherstellung nähergebracht.

Wir haben nicht nur viel über die Geschichte und Tradition der Weinkellerei erfahren, sondern auch die Möglichkeit gehabt, einige der exzellenten Weine zu probieren. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm und wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt.
