Unipol Forum in Assago, Milan, is a premier indoor arena that hosts a wide range of events, from international concerts and live performances to major sporting competitions. With a seating capacity of over 12,000, it’s one of the largest and most versatile event venues in Italy.
The arena is modern and well-maintained, offering excellent acoustics and good sightlines from almost every seat, making it a top choice for both artists and fans. I attended a live concert here recently, and the experience was fantastic. The sound quality was crystal clear, and the atmosphere inside the venue was electric, especially with the synchronized lighting and visual effects that enhanced the overall show.
Accessibility is also a strong point for the Unipol Forum. It is located just outside Milan and is easily reachable by public transport—particularly via the M2 (green) metro line to Assago Milanofiori Forum station, which drops you off right next to the venue. There’s also ample parking if you prefer to drive, though traffic can get heavy before and after large events.
The venue also has plenty of facilities, including clean restrooms, multiple food and drink stands, merchandise shops, and seating areas. Prices inside the venue are what you’d expect from an event location—slightly inflated—but the convenience makes up for it. The staff was helpful and well-organized, guiding people to their seats and managing the crowds efficiently.
One thing to note is that bag checks and security procedures at the entrance are thorough, so be sure to arrive early to avoid missing the beginning of the event. Also, large bags and backpacks are not allowed, which is common practice in such venues for safety reasons.
Unipol Forum is not only about music and sports—it also hosts family shows, exhibitions, and conferences, so there’s something for everyone. Its flexible design allows it to be quickly transformed depending on the nature of the event, and that’s what makes it stand out.
Overall, the Unipol Forum delivers a professional and enjoyable experience for event-goers. Whether you’re attending a concert, a basketball game, or a family-friendly show, the venue offers great organization, solid infrastructure, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy top-tier entertainment while in...
Read moreMediolanum forum is a large arena in Assago, immediately outside Milan, that is used to hold various kind of events, both public and private. To name a few from personal experience, I went there to see concerts (Metallica, The Offspring, Subsonica), basketball matches, events (“Walking with Dinosaurs”) and also some company meeting (e.g., Deloitte is quite used to rent the forum for one night every couple of years). Overall the structure is clearly top professional and well renowned one, with full compliance for safety. Inside you may have the initial feeling that it’s not so big, but when it’s fully sold-out, then you realize that it’s really impressive. The seats positions it’s very well design to give everyone a good view. Clearly, the closer to the scene, the more enjoyable the show. Inside there are also few shop that sell very basic food. The toilette are obviously also there: they are decent and all the time I was impressed that I could use them without waiting too long. Quite recently they also added some other restaurant outside, to make the Forum more pleasant. Additionally, there is plenty of available space for parking, so no risk to not to find one for your car. In case, Mediolanum Forun is extremely easily to be reached with the underground train too; just stop at “Assago Milanofiori Forum” (one of the final destinations of M2 green line subway) and walk for 3 minutes, crossing the bridge that directly connects the subway station with the arena itself. With all mentioned above, overall, and despite today the structure is a bit old, I personally consider Mediolanum Forum a top level building for enjoying various...
Read moreThis is the view from Ring B - Category 2 - Sector B24 - Row 11 - Seat 3. The seat is not exactly ideal for a concert, as to see the stage well you have to be slightly turned (not exactly ideal for comfort, at least for the neck); I couldn't see the beginning of the concert very well, due to the flow of people passing by on the stairs, it was pretty annoying. Furthermore, there is not enough space to keep your feet comfortable and relaxed, especially if you are taller than 1.80m, you have to keep your feet tucked up, there is not enough space to rest the entire sole of your foot on the ground, only the toes. I would say that the temperature is slightly higher than what would be ideal (we are around 26-27°C). It is full of small bars and stands where they serve food and drinks (not in the name of saving, but not exaggerated prices for a concert either, a bottle of water and a hot dog it was around 8.50 euros). The offer of shows is crazy, from sports, to music, to cabaret, there is something for all tastes. A little bit of queue to get out, they open only some exits, it gets crowded, took almost 15 min to get out. There is a high tunnel that goes straight to metro, it's very near the entrance of the Forum, it's good when it's raining. It's connected with metro (Green line M2 - little disappointing because the last stop, Assago, is in zone Mi3, you should buy a slightly more expensive ticket to reach there), from Centrale you will be there in around 35 minutes. There's also a parking...
