This humble museum publishes good books about the Italian experience of Hemingway and his contemporaries, which is why I was disappointed with the physical museum itself. There are no physical exhibits, only text, and the text lacks much of the information present in the museum’s books. I was very happy to visit this museum during the month of October 2023. A most interesting place it was but sadly it misses information in English. That of course very much reduces what a non Italian speaking visitor can get out of visiting. The museum is located in a wonderful villa located along the beautiful river Brenta. Un'altra tappa, a mio giudizio, da effettuare se vi recate a Bassano del Grappa, è il museo Hemingway e della grande guerra. Il museo è visitabile liberamente oppure, come consiglio, in visita guidata, che va necessariamente prenotata in anticipo. Grazie a questo servizio si apprezza in modo più completo ed esaustivo la storia del famoso scrittore americano a cui questo museo è dedicato. Il percorso si snoda attraverso le sale presenti, in ognuna delle quali sono presenti teche con libri, riviste e documenti. Una ricca documentazione fotografica e descrittiva alle pareti integra e completa il contenuto delle teche. La visita guidata dura circa un'ora e mezza e regala un racconto sufficientemente dettagliato, stimolante e mai noioso, della parte di vita che Hemingway ha trascorso nel nostro Paese, dal suo arrivo come volontario fino al suo triste epilogo.
