Ristorante Al Ponte — Restaurant in Bassano del Grappa

Fantastic atmosphere, rip-off prices The staff could seriously not have been nicer or more courteous. The establishment was beautiful, in a good location near the famous bridge - and the atmosphere was very elegant and inviting.

The prices, to be fair - were not so much more than any other below average to average restaurant you might find yourself in, however (and this is a big however) the quantity is NOT worth the price. It would be understandable to say that they charge a little bit more to keep the riff-raff out, or that it's to pay for the quality in ambiance. It would be fair to say that, if it weren't for the fact that they charge a 3 euro seating fee - per person! I was outraged by that, actually. And had the quantity of food not shocked me to my core when it arrived on the table, It still might not have been an issue. We ordered two dishes, respectively: Spaghetti with asparagus. I think they took one spoonful of pasta and placed it on the plate; Pork with potatoes. I think they took half a potato, cut it up, and then took about 5 pieces of chopped pork and put them next to each other on the plate. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to take photos of the meal...but the description should be enough. We had a bottle of water to share. Our total dining cost for all of the above: 37 euros. As chichi as the atmosphere was, it was not worth that amount of money - especially considering there were about three bites worth of food. Having said that though, it was very good.

However, because the staff was so nice, and the atmosphere was so good - I will give them credit rather than complaints. Just be forewarned that you are going to have to pay a pretty penny for your meal, even if your meal isn't really the...

Classifica secondo classi di merito per una serata fine agosto 2021 (famiglia 3 persone, tutti maggiorenni (figlio con master alberghiero), senza prenotazione): 1_luogo esterno assai accogliente e attraente già dal Ponte degli Alpini, verde e posizione invidiabili ma difficilmente merito degli attuali gestori. Le secolari posizioni migliori di Bassano non sono certo opera dei singoli gestori che ne sono comunque responsabili curatori "ad temporam". La gestione Strafella attenta e positivamente attiva. Interni, non provati ma ben visti, cupi, spogli, austeri anche se ordinati. Gotici forse? Per la cena di due innamoratini la candela forse non illuminerebbe una promessa di radioso futuro. 2_ menu nel flyer prelevato alla cassa è citata come referenza anche Michelin che però ad agosto 2021 nel sito ufficiale non cita il ristorante Al Ponte. Menù contenuto nell'offerta, in attesa quindi di piatti curati nei minimi dettagli. Offerte Veneta e Salentina contaminate e assortite.

Antipasti pretenziosi nel menù dal quale ci si aspettano tutte le sfumature dei tanti componenti. Ardita invece l'opera di estimo durante questa prima degustazione.

Bigoli all'anatra come primo, giocando in casa. Bigoli di buona consistenza e cottura. Il sugo all'anatra è invece migrato con i parenti pennuti dal Brenta verso il mare, senza alcun sapore di spicco sul piatto. Pur per 12 eur a porzione per 2 porzioni il cameriere ha commentato che magari spadellando il cuoco aveva lesinato (forse) nelle dosi.

Secondi Chi zerca el Bacaeà aea Vizentina xe mejo vada suìto da na n'altra parte ... no serve 'ndar fora Basàn. Chi se 'contenta de un bacaeà cèo (anche come dose!!) qua sarà contentà aea grande, ma ghe deve piazer aver ancora tanta fame dopo la zena).

Dolci come gli antipasti. Lunghi nella descrizione, corti nel gusto, pur se ci si mette attentissimi a stimolare una ad una ogni papilla vista la dose nei piatti (da analisi nano-organoloettica) e i 22 euri per 3 dolci (dolcetti).

In generale, per tutte le portate, una buona caratura dei gusti senza però alcuna pretesa di territorialità, forse neanche pretesa. Impiattamento generale invece meno che elementare, non si capisce chi se ne possa essere occupato in cucina. Senza alcuna personalità, ordine, valorizzazione. Insufficiente per ogni portata. Qui bisognerebbe ripartire davvero dall'ABC. Si consiglia di osservare attentamente il piatto quando vi viene servito, ve ne accorgerete subito. Come sono disposti i componenti? É davvero il piccolo quadro d'artista che state pagando alla grande?

3_servizio Puntuale, attento, continuo. Ma nell'ombra ... Una non più giovane governante in nero, riassetta solerte, mesta e silente i tovagliati dei coperti liberati attorno al nostro tavolo, senza mai alzare lo sguardo, pesantemente china nel suo impegno. Anonimi camerieri sgomberano il tavolo, giovani, attenti ma estranei. Chi a turno prende le comande lo fa senza personalità o suggerimenti di alcun tipo e i coperti non erano certo da serata d'assalto. Coperti interni ZERO, solo clienti sui tavoli esterni. I tempi delle passeggiate di controllo del servizio erano di gran lunga superiori alle chiacchiere con i clienti, che pure non vogliono comunque raccontare la loro vita a i camerieri ... è un'arte, come quella dei cuochi. 4_conto ritenuti eccessivi oltre 120 eur per tre antipasti, due primi, un secondo, tre dolci, 1/2 bianco sfuso in caraffa, 1/2 acqua naturale e 3 coperti (costano 3,5 eur a testa e non hanno mai rinnovato l'unico cestino del pane casereccio servito all'inizio, seppure svuotato durante gli antipasti). Porzioni di quantità ridotta, personalmente ritenute scarse per ogni portata anche considerati i prezzi unitari. Inqualificabili 20 eur per un misurino da 1/2 litro di vino bianco sfuso della casa (uno sfuso da 40 eur al litro??) Infine una nota di marketing. "Excusatio non petita, accusatio manifesta" Perché alla fine della auto-referenziale recensione sul volantino del ristorante è citato "un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo"? Perché poi non sono...

We were here just for drinks. Since I am pregnant we wanted alcohol free drinks. When we said we don’t want to eat, an old waiter asked us to just leave. There was just one lady who spoke to English and said sorry this is a restaurant. We were waiting for someone to come and give us the bill. This was insulting & would never happen In Germany. Also not to mention there were many free tables inside and also some free tables outside. The way the old waiter said it was super unfriendly super loud pointing a finger. Not a place for tourists. Maybe they just welcome...
