This museum in the old part of Bergamo is really worth visiting. The exhibition is in Italian (with no translation) but if you've a passing knowledge of 19th century Italian history you'll get by. A big focus is Giuseppe Garibaldi and the wars of Italian reunification. Very friendly staff in the museum. The views from the tower and around the walls of the fortress are spectacular. Equally impressive is the small gardens around the fortress that is home to many memorials to Italian soldiers, sailors and air force personal that served in 20th century conflicts.
