I loved everything in there, there is a feeling that surrounds you and invites you to the history of the ancient city. It has interactive acts, technology and the attention to the details is exemplary and.....sadly it's all in Italian. Never the less the hole area captured my interest and I can surely admit that it was the most gorgeous museum I have ever been. I wish museums, one day, would be like this: not to be reassured by the exhibits but to arouse the interest of the visitor by the way the exhibits...

Il Palazzo del Podestà è un edificio storico della città di Bergamo posto su piazza Vecchia e ospita il Museo del Cinquecento che fa parte della rete del Museo delle storie di Bergamo gestita da Fondazione Bergamo nella storia.

L'edificio, per secoli chiamato Hospitium potestatis, è posizionato in piazza Vecchia, ex piazza Nuova. Il quattrocentesco scalone lo collega alla grande Sala delle Capriate del palazzo della Ragione; la parte più a nord della facciata, si apre su piazza del Duomo di fronte alla basilica di Sant'Alessandro. Il palazzo comprende la torre campanaria.

La storia del palazzo del Podestà segue la storia di Bergamo.
