Unfortunately the worst experience in Hu, I have stayed in other Hu and that’s the worst. We had problems with the A/C is controlled from reception and we couldn’t go down in temperature. After 3 times of the engineer visit we always had a 19°c that we couldn’t go up. We had a pet so it was very difficult to have a person inside the room. The shower was extremely hot or extremely cold. We were asking for toilet paper and they were giving only 1 for 3 people. We had no cloth string and when I asked they said we usually don’t give to Bungalow, they gave aid a tiny one for 3 people and the duration of the stay was 18 nights cost around 1,980€.We supposed to have two times cleaning the room giving new towels etc, and we haven’t been informed, I find out because I asked for towels but it was too late as we had events to attend in Florence and we couldn’t allow them into the room with the pet. As it will run out. A neighbour complained as well when they left so they gave us their clothing string so we managed. The duvet was pre used not in the bag and smelly and I watched that when they were cleaning rooms they were not changing it and new people checked in. Very bad. The shower room was smelly like toilet. The supermarket was TOO expensive and for a few days the cold water had 0,45€ and after a few days they stick a note that is extra 0,50€ because is cold and is from the fridge. The swimming pool was so dirty with anything you can imagine, hair everywhere and it was so busy that people were playing with balls and other floating objects they were throwing it around so we had a couple of incidents the ball to hit me in my sunglasses and it was painful, the other day someone jumped in the pool and hit me so I have pain in my arm. Terrible, no rules no safety. We decided not to go as it was so hard to even relax. One of the swimming pool was extremely cold with results everyone to go in the main swimming pool. No events happened like the other Hu in Venice, so nothing to do in this one. The restaurant very expensive for little food. Even the area to sit was not good as the seats were very uncomfortable and people were standing, the small beer had 6€ so you would rather get one from a local supermarket and go enjoy it in the same area. The dogs were doing their business everywhere so you end up step on a poo or open your window from the room and smell of urine. The other ridiculous and misinformed about shuttle bus service, it’s actually the local bus which is doesn’t come on time, the timing especially for Sunday was not accurate, we have been waiting 1,5 hours for a bus and we missed Church, the bus was so full that you couldn’t breathe, when I asked the receptionist why there is no bus free like in the other Hu in Venezia and Roma they said that people were not talking the bus so they stopped it, which is a lie as the bus stop was always full and people actually spend a lot more money when we should have. No checks at the entrance people outside of Hu were coming in going for swimming and also use bathroom, without paying anything. They were coming with bags to enter the swimming pool and stay all day there. The toilet in the swimming pool the door was not locked properly so you end up people to open the door and see you pee. Very long queue, the bar in the swimming TOO expensive and the coffee was tasting bad. The communication was so hard as they don’t speak English and any other language except Italian, don’t go waste your money there, better pay a hotel with full breakfast or you will get hungry if you are on a budget. The guys in the Bar were friendly and trying to do their best. I wish it was like...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for her birthday. The place itself is quite cute and it has a huge potential. The rooms are very clean and the site is well maintained, maybe except for the common BBQ area. The staffs are quite attentive as well. However, my girlfriend and I had some bad experience for the following reasons:

On the first night we stayed in bungalow and the other two nights, we stayed in a tent. In the first morning, we packed everything and went to the reception to check in for the tent, a receptionist told us the rooms weren't ready, and we could leave our stuff at the infopoint while we wait for another check-in. Since we had to go rafting, we went and explained our situation to the lady at the info-point. The lady misunderstood what we said to have us pay for 6 euros for baggage storage when we didn't have to. Later, as an apology and a form of refund, they gave a voucher for two aperitivi.

We booked rafting and horse riding activities through the camping. However, we were given no information about them other than the names of the meeting points. When we went to the center city for rafting, no one - even locals - knew about the meeting point that we were given. In the end, we had to walk through the scorching hot city to look for the meeting point, only to find out that both of the activities were not booked from the beginning, and their website told us the meeting point is actually different from where we were told. When we made a complaint upon our return, they were nice enough to give us a breakfast voucher.

Talking of breakfast; I'm glad we didn't have to pay for it. The food was ridiculously simple for what costs 7.50 Euros per person. I wouldn't expect this type of quality even from free breakfast. I've stayed at some hotels that offered way more wholesome breakfast without any charge.

They charge extra for anything and everything possible. When I was making a complaint about the activities, some people came to the reception to ask for an additional toilet paper, I overheard a receptionist explaining to the customers that they charge extra for the stays less than certain amount of days. BTW, they don't have housekeeping for short stays. You'd be charged extra for any cleaning or extra towels.

They are quite disorganized. My girlfriend emailed the camp to book directly and paid just for the first night and then when we arrived there, I paid the rest. On the third day, I found out the first day was included in my payment. When we went to the reception to clear things up, they returned what they owed. We also found out that the initial quote was wrong as we were given a slightly lower price for the bungalow and a higher price for the tent. In fact, my girlfriend and I found it weird that the bungalow was cheaper than the tent when it was bigger and better.

Overall, I think we could have had a great time at this camp, but these constant problems really ruined our experience. It's a pity a nice place like this is so...

Alright, at first, I wasn't sure about staying in a place like HU, but in the end, I am glad we stay here. We rented one of the big suites (4 beds/2 bathrooms) and really enjoyed our time as we took a break from Firenze. The suite was clean and had A/C! The stay granted pool access, which was great! The small shopping store was great, it gave us an easy path to buy essentials. The nearby restaurant was great also!

We stayed for four nights in a tent room at hu Firenze camping in town during May. The evenings in Florence can be quite chilly even then, so we appreciated that our tent came equipped with air conditioning, which also provided heating. The campsite is located about 6-7 kilometers from the city center, so getting around requires using the Line 14 bus or taking a taxi. The bus stop is conveniently right outside the campsite entrance. However, be warned about the Line 14 bus service: it's notoriously unreliable. Buses were often delayed by over an hour, leading to massive crowds at the campsite stop. Even when a bus did arrive, many people couldn't get on. Travel Tips for Line 14: * Going to the city: We highly recommend walking about 200 meters to the previous bus stop (before the campsite's). This significantly increases your chances of getting on and finding a seat. * Returning from the city: Catch the bus from its starting point near the Duomo. This way, you're guaranteed a seat after a long day of sightseeing and can avoid the crushing crowds that gather further down the line. This is crucial not just for comfort (avoiding a 30-minute standing journey after a tiring day) but also for safety, as this bus route is unfortunately known for pickpockets. Always be vigilant! On a positive note, the air conditioning unit in our tent was very noisy, but when we reported it to reception, they fixed it the same day, which was efficient. However, the maintenance technician left the bedsheets very dirty after the repair and didn't clean up, which was disappointing. Because of this, I can't give high marks for cleanliness. Overall, the campsite offers a unique stay with tent rooms, but be prepared for the transportation challenges and take precautions regarding your belongings on the bus.
