Pizza Man — Restaurant in Florence

I’m biased, I know. But hear me out!

Pizzaman knocks it out of the park with one dish: the pizza.

I have to tell you, I don’t usually like pizza. It’s not my favorite food, and I wouldn’t choose it for a great meal out. I don’t really think of it as a meal, more like a snack.

BUT, the pizza at Pizzaman is out of this world good. Thin. Thin and very thin. Crispy. Balanced. The right amount of quality tomato sauce. Great mozzarella, cooked to perfection until crispy. You can definetely taste the quality of the ingredients.

When somebody mentioned Neapolitan pizza style in the UK, I cringed. My experience with it has been a chewy, non-crispy, too bready base. No matter how good the ingredients, I always feel like I over paid for just bread. This doesn’t happen at Pizzaman. It’s a dream eating their pizza. We sampled three: Margherita, Tropea, and Mushroom. Each one tasted different and better than the other.

But don’t just take my word for it. Go and try it yourself. Apparently, the only way to taste better pizza is to go to Napoli. I believe this.

We also tried other things. The seafood Neapolitan soup was well-seasoned and full of flavor. The calamari was great. Big prawns in a delicious viscous sauce. The gnocchi was well-made with plenty of cheese. The whole fried fish was fresh and delicious. And the tiramisu was to die for.

There is a display fridge with fresh fish, showing how serious they are about good quality products. The service was at the “nothing is too much to ask” level.

First let me just say what a great restaurant! I visited with my husband to find a restaurant near our hotel with good reviews After being shown to our table, we were served appetizers and drinks After much deliberation, I ordered the mushroom pizza and the margherita All of them are impressively delicious 😍 We were very satisfied at that point, but could not resist the urge to eat more, so we ordered more quattro formaggi I was full, but it was so good that I could finish it 😋 For dessert we ordered crema catalana and tiramisu They even offered us a free recall after dinner The service and food are perfect ✨ And for such a good meal, the price was reasonable at 55€. The food is well worth their prices or better The waiter was very friendly and humorous, and we enjoyed our meal 🤣 He even said "I love japan" and I was really happy ❤️ She even learned a little Japanese I am so glad I went to this restaurant It made my trip to Italy even more memorable I had a hard time deciding between this restaurant and Gustopizza in Florence, but I was right in coming to Pizza Men I really recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Florence And I love Italy too ❤️

We traveled around Italy for two weeks and this is by far the worst pizza we had in our time. Beginning with the ordering process the two man at the counter just randomly started laughing at us for no apparent reason which made me feel very uncomfortable. We choose to take away the pizza and after some time the one guy slammed the pizza on our table and left. We felt very uneasy and pressured to leave. We ate the pizza at a bench nearby and it was soaked in olive oil. We ordered a 4 fromagi pizza which we had a couple of in Italy. The Gorgonzola was not cut properly and was just a solid block which really tasted awful. Also the pizza wasn't cut and the remaining cheese had no taste. This was by far the worst experience I had in Italy so far for quite a hefty price tag of 10€ for a take away pizza that tasted like a heated...
