Service was friendly and unobtrusive. Very quiet restaurant early on a weeknight. We had 2 pizzas and shared a house salad.
The pizzas were not bad, but not great, either, and were probably the worst ones we ate in this month of travel to Italy. Prices were okay, but it felt like little care or thought was given to the preparation- toppings were just thrown on in a haphazard manner and a bit sparse. The dough was difficult to cut and chew, with a very hard crust, but also super thin and wet in the center. Not the best example of a pizza Napolitano, and I have eaten dozens of them in my lifetime.
We enjoyed the 10-minute walk over from a nearby villa, so it was convenient to get there. From the parking lot there is a nice evening view of the Arno River, but since we were there after sundown, we could not tell whether there is a view of the river from inside the restaurant.

Read moreWe visited La Veranda 3 times during our day in Florence, as we were in a hotel 10 minutes walk away this was a great find for us. Food was excellent with great Gluten Free options in Pasta, Pizza and dessert. Perfect setting beautiful indide with an outside seating option. The staff were all lovely and always served very quickly. Each night we went for th 500ml carafe of red wine at €6.50 and was lovely. I would absolutely recommend this Tuscan restaurant. My husband loved the wild boar pasta dish, mussels in pepper were also stunning as were all of the dishes we had, very reasonable prices for great homecooked food. 2 of the nights were very busy we booked and this was out of season, the owner does a great job of speaking with all the customers which is...
Read moreExcellent! Exceptional! Amazing!
It was one of the best place I have tried in Italy and believe, I am know what I am saying, my husband is Neapolitan and we both were really amazed of the food and treatment we have received. We took antipasto Toscano, Pappardelle al ragù cinghiale, tortelli di patate al ragù antico and of course a desert! EVERYTHING was just excellent! You could see that the meet was high quality and cut at the restaurant, nothing industrial. The homemade dessert was just a cherry on the top! The staff was all the time available and on the smile on their face. I am more than sure that next time when we will come to Firenze we will go there again! I STRONGLY...
