A unique experience for two Americans. You might call it a water park for adults. A beach, plus an assortment of pools of all shapes and sizes (jacuzzis to Olympic sized) with all temperatures of water, plus a series of attractions like a hot/cold wading course, a sauna cave, and an area with massaging water spouts. The setting is essentially a lush tropical garden. Umbrellas and beach chairs scattered everywhere. Lots of nooks and crannies that provide some level of privacy for dozing / reading a book between wet pursuits. We had lunch at the self serve station / cafeteria. Long line. Big menu including alcohol. Expensive. OK to not good food. There is a bar with salads and I think other light fare - wish we had tried that instead. I didn’t see anyone with bottles or glasses outside of the eating areas, so I’m guessing not allowed but not 100% certain. Families: We didn’t see many kids. Overall I’d say it’s not designed for young kids. LOTS of stairs and no pools or attractions really meant for them. 12+ would probably have a lot of fun for an 90 mins or so before they got bored. We enjoyed the day - found it interesting and relaxing. If you have a few days in Ischia this is a fine way to spend a good chunk of one of them… … but we probably would not do it again, and I won’t recommend it to friends who are just there for one or two days. Once I got the phrase “people soup” in my head it was hard to enjoy anything but the beach. We think there are better things to do with a short time on the island! The beach is amazing but if that’s all you want there is a free public beach right next to the Negombo roped beach. We paid €80 for two adults on an early Sept Wednesday for the day pass. Afternoon pass was cheaper. Towel rental was €5 with a €20 deposit. Bag drop was free but with a €20 deposit for the key(?). We rode a scooter and found a free spot nearby. Not sure about costs for parking.
This resort was gorgeous!! So lush and green!! I highly recommend bringing bug spray. With all the water, vegetation and heat, the mosquitos were abundant. Take a picture of the map or carry one with you! While the mountain area is gorgeous, it's easy to totally miss the pools or be on the wrong side. The exploration is gorgeous, but it's A LOT of steps. We went on a Sunday morning - late afternoon in late May. I was amazed at how empty it was early in the morning. By noon, there were more people. We were always able to find a chair and even got some of the upper pools to ourselves for a couple minutes at a time. Lockers can be rented for a deposit of €20. Towels can be rented for €6 PLUS a €10 deposit. The deposits MUST be paid in cash and will be refunded when you return the towels/locker key. While the pool with the rock bottom and dual temperatures is cool in theory, that's where it ended. The rocks were painful to walk on. And it was filthy. We got out of that pool covered in muck. The self service restaurant was okay. It was nothing special, but the food was decent. There were plenty of options, so there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was a little pricey though.
This place is wonderful. Baths that are a delight after some rugged site seeing in Naples. Especially #5! Salt water pools and a nice beach. Some tips: - bring towels. It is not included in the price - get there as early as possible to soak up all the resort has to offer - if you are expecting to take a ferry back to Napoli - give yourself plenty of time. Buses were not on time, and a few were too full to stop for a pick up! Buy return bus fare from the depot next to the port (200m from port and on the right) €1.50 each / per trip. - IMPORTANT: STOP AT SECOND LACCO AMENO stop called SAN LORENZO. Follow the road down and there are stairs on your right. Then cross the harrowing traffic (carefully!) around the building in the middle of the road. It’s down that way! There’s a sign on that building but it’s all painted over. - bring food, snacks fruit and cold beers if you can. especially if you have kids - they’ll get hungry! Beers are €3.50 for a small bottle and €20+ for food. We didn’t eat there but I’m sure it’s fine. Gelato for a treat perhaps? - yes, it’s pricey. €35/each. Includes chairs, thermal baths, pools and beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed it. You will too!
I recommend to visit this paradise at least once while in Ischia. It’s like bathing in a beautiful botanical garden. You can choose a great and quiet spot for the sunbeds with no people around you. If you want to relax in the nature while bathing in thermals you cannot find anything better. The access to private beach is also included. I wouldn’t recommend to bring children as there’s not much to do for them and they could disturb other people by jumping in the pools they really shouldn’t be jumping into, screaming etc. However, I would recommend to pack the food and drinks for the whole day if you want to save like a 100€ (2per). Every restaurant in the park is pricey and closes at around 14:00-15:00, except for the self-service at beach (but one portion of very basic penne with tomato sauce costs 12€). If you buy the tickets online you can skip the line at the entrance, but we didn’t and we waited each time only for like 5minutes.
It was a great spa facility. Very big and a lot of options to choose. Even though we visited on August (end of August and Monday), it was still clean and well maintained throughout the day. The beach was not the best because it got dirty in the afternoon. The food was just amazing. It was open buffet with many options and the taste was really nice. We spent the whole day and it was a great experience. I can say as a spa facility overall was almost best one I have ever experienced but I can’t say the same for the wellness center. It can be improved given the opportunities within the facility. Massage was good but it could have been in a more well decorated environment for the full experience. The entrance fee was 45 euros in August and the massages was around 70-90 euros (50mins). I would recommend to come here early morning when there was less people.
Wow what a place! This was the highlight of our whole trip in Italy. Negombo is truly one of a kind. We went on a Saturday and didn’t need to book in advance. Entrance is includes a lounger, deck chair and parasol for the day. The highlight is, of course, the selection of pools and thermal bath experiences. The caves at the top of the hill are beautiful and are such a special experience. We particularly loved the natural steam room experience and the 2 metre deep cave plunge pool. The water is all salt water so no funky chlorine smells around. The whole place feels tropical and super relaxing. The bar snacks are also reasonable but we brought our own snacks and lunch in from a local Deli. I’d recommend speaking to a taxi driver to arrange pick-up on the way back just to make your experience that little less stressful. We would 100% come back.
