Beautiful, peaceful beach with less families (certainly compared to Chitara & Chiaia).
I caught Line 1 bus from South Forio to San Montana which cost €1.50 & took 20 mins. The bus does get very full & we did have to pass some stops where there were people waiting to get on so give yourself more time than less.
As others have said, there is a paid section & free section. For 1 bed & umbrella, it would have cost €40 so I found a spot under the shaded wall on the far left from the entrance. There are only limited number of these (20-30) so get here as soon as you can if you want one of these (although the shade does grow throughout the day with the sun position).
For those that plan to purchase their own personal umbrella/parasol here, there are no small stores like there are at Chitara or Chiaia.

We got there via bus. It’s a bit of a walk down but not half as bad as it looks as it’s mostly some steps and then a restive flat path, so if you don’t mind a ten min walk and a short bit with steps, it’s fine to get to from the bus.
We went fairly late and stayed til gone 7pm, when the water was still...
Read moreI imagine this beach used to be very spectacular. It’s situated in a nice little cove. However, the overcrowded umbrellas and beds make it an eyesore. The price gouging by vendors is sad. There is a free side but that gets jammed packed rather quickly. Also, the water is not particularly clean with respect to other beaches in Ischia. In fact, there is a pipe at the left side of the beach which is funneling in dirty water coming from who knows where. If you’re not in Ischia for long, I recommend you try other beaches for a better beaching experience here on the island....
