Caveat to my 5 star rating; It's for families (4 stars for everyone else)
I did not have high hopes for this place seeing as it was so close to Gardaland i was thinking it would be a few false walled streets, a few Italian takes on American food (alla Wild Wild West, blah!) and a couple of rides for tiny kids and the rest that we wouldn't be able to go on. I was so wrong, the place is massive, the food was surprisingly good and reasonably priced (we ate at Daytona RACEturant and were served by robot waiters. I will say that I found it refreshing that there were places to sit everywhere, where people need to wait for others on rides, just random tables and chairs under shade and at every entrance and exit - I loved this even if I didn't take advantage as much as I would have liked (too busy!). Y'all people need to sit when they have been waiting in line and walking all day.
We have a one child of 100cms and one of 120cms and apart from like 2/3 out of the 24 attractions (about 5/6 out of 24 for the little one) - we could at least in part enjoy them all. I will say that I'm not sure if 100cms is really right for some of the more action rides (magma 2) but my kids loved being whipped from left to right, just hold them tight and try not to shake the baby.
Some of the rides were a little worn and old fashioned but there was a nice mix of more modern 5D experiences and classic rollercoasters/rides but the thing they excelled in was the shows. I was not expecting the shows to be any good but I was proven wrong in the first minute and they just got more spectacular as the day went on (don't miss the USA army show, they throw a plane - THEY THROW A PLANE!). There were stunt people, pyrotechnics and speedboats for that one, live singers and dancers for others and they were all very good. the spectacles were spectacular, some as good as anything I've seen in America in the big parks.
As I said before, I think this place is great for families as a lot of the rides and cinema experiences are kid friendly and that worked for us. I've never been to a place where even our little one can do everything with us and we didn't need to try to manage our day around separate activities for her and her brother so this was a rare pleasure. For just older people on their own, it's still good but be prepared.
We will definitely be going...
Read moreIt’s an interesting park. It has attractions that I don’t think you find anywhere else.
Positives: It is not so big, so you can easily walk all over without losing track of where you are - but that doesn’t mean there are not enough attractions. It is also compact in a way that entrances to each attractions are very close to each other.
Being able to drive the jeep on the dinosaur area is very cool, tho queues can be quite long.
Quite nice effects for bus and boat attractions.
Good prices were very good for a theme park. They have a heathy fruity/ice cream bar - with smoothies and fresh fruits! Recommend it
Bought the ticket online and we were not bound to a specific date. If weather would not be good or if we changed or plans, we could still use the ticket another day within the season.
Negatives: lack of staff I saw they have at least one person responsible for each attraction, but it is nearly impossible to find an employee outside of attractions - so you easily see people breaking rules like smoking in the middle of eating areas around several kids and IN QUEUES! This was the most disappointing, as it’s impossible to escape the smell when you have nowhere to go. Also, staff of a food kiosk was notified about people smoking on tables and they said it was prohibited but didn’t do anything about it. That’s sad.
The free shuttle from Peschiera does not go in the afternoon, while Gardaland goes the whole day (except lunch time). In the way back to the station it is impossible to find the bus stop, and no employee from Movieland knows either, which makes it even more concerning regarding their organization.
Bathroom were smelling very very bad. As were the Interstellar station. As if it was cleaned with a 30 year old cloth that was never washed. Weird because that area seems very new.
Minor detail: the Viking boat back at the wooden age area didn’t have good signalization. The employee is hidden in a corner, and there is a gate, so it’s hard to know if we can proceed or not. And even tho she is looking, she does not give...
Read moreI recently visited Movieland Entertainment Park, and overall, I had a good experience. However, I encountered some issues with the Android 3D attraction that left me feeling disappointed.
When my companion and I entered the queue for the attraction, we saw an information board at the front that listed all the restrictions and operating hours of the attraction. The board clearly stated that the attraction was open and that shows were scheduled every 20 minutes. However, when we waited for the next show to start, the timer reached zero, and it simply started over again. There was no employee present to assist us, and we were left confused and frustrated.
After seeking help at the kiosk, we were directed to an information point, where we were finally able to speak with a supervisor. It was only then that the issue was resolved. I was disappointed that it took so long for the problem to be addressed, and I feel that paying customers should not have to go through such a hassle to receive basic customer service.
Despite this issue, I did enjoy other attractions at Movieland Entertainment Park. However, I would recommend that the park improve its communication with customers and make sure that employees are available to address issues promptly. In particular, it would be helpful to have an employee stationed at the front of the attraction to inform visitors if it is closed, rather than leaving them waiting...
