Skisalon & Bike Miara — Attraction in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

Very spacious ski hire shop right at the main Miara Gondola, not like the usual cramped affairs. Staff were very friendly, even to some bloke determined to have an arguement (his fault). We decide to rent a heated locker here to save lugging our equipment around. You can go for a double up to a 6 man locker I think. All have boot dryers, somewhere to store helmets and giggles, and even glove racks. The lockers are about €18 each for the week, but we'll worth it. They link the locker to your ski pass also, so no messing about working out who carries the key for the day. This is how ski hire/stores...

40€ for a sharpening skis, no wax or anything else just to shapren it. They did a bad job for a very high price.

I asked a colleague if he could do ONLY edge grinding, and he said yes. Then I got my skis back poorly ground (and, as it turned out, waxed—which I didn’t notice at first since it was also poorly done and wasn’t requested in the first place) along with a 39€ bill. Thank you for your offer, but I don’t see why you would do it any better the second time. The only way to improve my satisfaction is by offering a 50% refund. If you can do this, I’ll be satisfied, therefore this rating...

It seemed like a good service since, I could reserve specific model and length of skies online. However, my reserved skies were not there at time for rental. Not even the next day… Which got me thinking, this is not a service, it’s just a feature looking nice online to book with Ski & Bike Miara. I expected at least some discount for 2 days of renting skies they had available. No… There are other local rental services with better price / performance ratio. Although I couldn’t find a rental place with new or -1...
