Our first attempt to have dinner at this restaurant was without a reservation, and it ended already at the entrance :) We made a reservation for the next day, and got a sweet little table right next to the bar. The staff is super friendly. I have to admit that I am not a big fan of this way of preparing meat, and you will agree that steaks have a specific preparation method and taste that may not be for everyone. Since I like to try different flavors, I have tried them many times in different parts of the world. We decided to give the local chef a chance here too... We had bruschetta with mushrooms for an appetizer, the restaurant even treated us to a free smoked potato soup. We each had a glass of excellent local Pinot Noir.

We took two different dishes from a relatively small selection of roast meats. "Flat Iron" steak was medium rare, and I must say relatively interesting texture and bitterness in taste. My wife and our daughter shared a steak (I forget the name) which was well done and I must admit quite dry. That border between well-done and medium-roasted meat, and therefore the texture, bitterness, juiciness and hardness of the meat, is something you should try and find the taste that suits you. We obviously haven't found the right one yet.

Prices are clearly stated in the menu and are as they are. However, what you get for that money is not a real compensation. This has nothing to do with a specific restaurant, simply, steaks and dry aged meat are now in fashion, and "hold" the price. We didn't try the desserts; simply, it was already 8 in the evening, and we didn't want to spoil the excellent taste...

Ciolà is a restaurant that offers a truly enchanting dining experience. From the moment I arrived, all four of us were captivated by the charming ambiance, where rustic wooden beams meet elegant decor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that beckons you to unwind and savor the moment. Their passion for the food was evident, and they made us feel right at home. As for the food, it was a revelation. We started with the tartare beefsteak, each bite was a comforting embrace of flavors! For the main course, we choose to try fiorentina and lamb steak. The presentation was as beautiful as it was appetizing.

To finish off our meal, we couldn’t resist trying the homemade icecream, sorbeto and lawa cake served warm with a scoop of vanilla gelato. It was the perfect sweet note to conclude an already unforgettable dining experience.

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic taste of the region. I can’t...

Have been going to this beautiful place for many years. Confidently located between the bottom of the ‘Miara’ slope as you head down towards the town. We would stop in here every night before dinner for a couple of sharpeners. Over the course of the week I tried an Aperol Spritz, Hugo, Campari Spritz, Gin and Tonic, White Wine, Red Wine, larger and unfiltered beer which were all delicious with all mixed drinks being made with the generous European free pour. On the final night we had dinner here for 4 and was not disappointed at all. We ordered the beef tartare, venison tartare and the home cured salmon to start - all said they would have ordered the same again. Then for the main course we had 2 of the rib eyes which were not only a hearty portion to say the least but cooked perfectly. We had a selection of deserts to finish with the best of that lot being the panna cotta. Cannot recommend it enough and is a highlight of our...

We’ve been here for dinner during our first day in San Vigilio. We didn’t make a reservation but anyway they gave us a nice table. We started with an onion soup with crostini covered with melt cheese. It was so delightful! The right choice to warming up for the main course in a very cold evening. Then we had the costata for 2 persons which was quite big and the meat was so tender! The costata comes with two sides as well, a baked potato and some grilled veggies. We tried also the desserts which were very refreshing, I really recommend to try the pineapple carpaccio with maraschino and ice cream. Regarding the staff the service was very friendly and we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in the restaurant. Prices are also ok considering the location

Ciola Steakhouse in San Vigilio is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely friendly atmosphere. The staff were fantastic, making us feel welcome and offering helpful recommendations. But the real star of the show was the food. We ordered the 1kg Picanha and the beef tartare, and both were absolutely incredible. The Picanha was cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor. It's easily the best steak I've had in town, and possibly anywhere! The beef tartare was equally impressive, fresh, and beautifully presented. If you're looking for an amazing steak experience in San Vigilio, Ciola is the place to be. Highly recommended!
