If you are visiting Toscana by car it is difficult to refresh in the sea unless you are prepared to pay entrance for a privatised beach and an access to the sea. Quite near and just south of Livorno is situated this pretty bay and fee free and public beach on the rocks/sand. If you are with children it is friendly enough to access it have a nice refreshing swim, have your legs cleaned by biting fish eating your dead skin and hours of fun for your children discovering sea life around and in the rocks. Almost all chairs are empty but they wont rent you a one because they are "reserved" for someone who MIGHT come this week or year.
