Bagno Maurizio — Attraction in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

We’ve been recommended this beach by TripAdvisor as we came to Viareggio for two weeks on holiday. As we came for the first time we’ve been straight away treated like their family members. Stefano, the young boss of this beach, is very open-hearted, he spoke English to us while we couldn’t speak Italian very well, and he even knew some words in our mother-tongue (Russian) as we told him where we originally come from. If we had some questions about the town, we also could ask him and he was always very helpful. His mother was very friendly, too. The prices there are very acceptable – for example, 15 € for a place with two chaise-longues and an umbrella. At the beach entrance there are toilettes, changing cubicles, one of which is public, coffee and soft drink vending machines and tables to sit (for example to bring some food bought in the nearest restaurant). By the way, in the nearest restaurant (it's called Da Olivieri) you can get a reduction for a week if you eat there, you can also ask here for it (we’ve also been given it by Stefano). The beach is daily cleaned and supervised. So – we were very amazed about this beach and people working there (Stefano and others, greets ;) ), we can only recommend everybody to choose it when staying in Viareggio in summer and of course, we hope to get...

We visited Stefanos Bagno this week. All i can say is: WOW! First contact was through WhatsApp where I reserved a place near the beach. He answers fast and is very polite. He even explained to me where to park. Prices are very fair!

Parking costs 12€/day. If you arrive early there is multiple free spots. After arriving at the bagno, we got greeted but stefano, who took our bags and showed us our spots. The bagno is very nice and clean. Toilets, cabins, showers are available. We were so impressed that we decided to come the next day too. Originally planned was only a day at the beach, since we were staying in florence. Stefano reserved a place right in front, next to the lifeguard. At the end of a beautiful day at the beach, we had problems with our car. We went back to stefano and he immediately started to call auto mechanics nearby, until he found someone who was willing to come by and get our car started.

Stefano is very popular and gets nicely greeted by every customer and otherwise too! (He remembers many customers by name) I've never seen such a good hearted, nice and handsome man.

Definitely not my last time coming! Highly recommended.

I was looking for a beach, while we were already sitting on the train heading to Viareggio. The good reviews convinced me, even though I was looking for an open, free beach. I also read that you need to book in advance because it's always full. Anyway I wrote a message to Stefano, hoping that by chance there would be a spot. He wrote back by the time we arrived, saying unfortunately the beach was full, but I should try coming later in the afternoon. We were already catching the bus to a more distant beach when a positive response came from Stefano, saying we could come as a spot had opened up. We rushed to Maurizio immediately. Stefano appeared within about 5 minutes, greeted us very friendly, explained everything, showed us the surrounding facilities, and even gave us a student discount. The beach is also nice, without any problems. But seriously, Stefano for president. Big boss. 😃 He is the heart of this beach, buzzing around in the 35°C heat with such energy, running everything with integrity, fully aware, he kept his eyes on everything, you could see that he was doing it with his whole heart and soul. I have never had such a welcome. If Viareggio, then...
