We stayed at this hotel for a week while on a class trip. THE ROOMS The rooms are way too small. My roommates and I had problems storing our luggage. The rooms would probably be a nightmare for anyone claustrophobic. The bathroom was okay aside from the awfully small shower. It was so small, I couldn't move properly without accidentally hitting the walls. The walls were too thin. I actually was able to hear someone drop a penny in the room next to us, so you probably can imagine what else I had to hear. Not enjoyable. HYGIENE The first time I entered the bathroom I was hit with such a disgusting smell of chlorine, it was worse than what you encounter at a swimming pool. There were stains on the "blankets", which essentially just were bedsheets, so they did a bad job at keeping me warm at night. While my room didn't show any signs of mold, I heard from other guests that their walls and ceiling were moldy. Upon arrival we were given one towel for each person, but they had weird stains on them and also weren't switched out during the week. The rooms also didn't seem to get cleaned during our stay. THE FOOD One of the main things I looked forward to for our class trip to Italy was the food, but what was served at the hotel spellt D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R. I bet Gordon Ramsay would have his fun here. The first day we were served a small portion of pasta followed by overcooked, moldy looking chicken with greasy potatoes and some weird, wobbly white thing with a sauce that resembled soy sauce. I didn't even have the courage to try anything after the pasta. Same scenario on the other days. Judging by the looks on the faces of other people, the food was unenjoyable. Some days I got cramps in my stomach area and diarrhea. Whatever they put in their food: EAT WITH CAUTION AND HAVE YOUR MEDS READY. The breakfast was okay though. FINAL THOUGHTS All in all it was okay. At least I survived, but it surely was not an enjoyable stay. The amount of money I spent on lunch to last me until breakfast would've probably been better spent on a better hotel. Still, for class trips this is a solid last resort option. Just keep in mind: You will not be happy here. If you spend most of your time outside the hotel, this will be okay. Otherwise this is an absolute pass and should be avoided.
Please note that this review comes from someone who lives in Germany and has only ever stayed at 4-5 star hotels, so my expectations might be a little bit higher than other people's...
